Not to kill a sale for Rick, but did you check your drive cable and drive gear (front wheel hub) to make sure something didn't break there?

Ratbuell - I’m 95% sure it’s the speedo. The cable and the drive unit are new. The speedo was swinging wildly and sticking at various speeds. This got worse as I rode it.
