The basic immigration laws need some reform. Ted Kennedy ( his staff, anyway ) crafted the existing laws which have quotas that would exclude his family. Anti -European, & pretty darn racist, these laws need to be gone over.
But what I mean by Comprehensive Immigration Reform is nearly the opposite that more than half of Congress means, which is why those rules from decades ago stand, and we are in the mess we are in.
In simple terms, it should be easier to get here legitimately, legally, to join our societies and improve everyone's life. This will take some funding, which is scarce, since the existing system pays evil men well. Slavers, coyotes, Silicon valley, Disney, all the men that exploit illegal & cheap labor, LOVE the existing setup, And bribe Congresscritters with their profits.
OTOH, it should be harder to enter illegally, to fake Social Security accounts, to take jobs Americans won't do for too little pay. Building a wall won't accomplish that. Not by itself. And we are not going to lay mines & install guard towers with heavy machine guns to slaughter incoming trespassers, like E. Germany had to kill folk trying to escape. We do need more trained cops, cameras, drones, and Army training on border control.
That last is controversial. It has to be controlled, with embedded police to make arrests. But it's a training we simply have not had & need desperately, since every war since WW2 has had as it's primary enemy strategy, having a border to hide behind, and smuggle enemy troops, supplies, terrorists, & drugs over, to attack us, and the people we seek to protect. Training on our own borders, from the deserts of Arizona to the mountains of Idaho and the woods of New England, will be a real aid. And the Canadians will love assisting this training by sending troops and Mounties across the border to test, and politely mock us!
But all That isn't enough.
We also need to jail & punish the exploiters of illegals. Take away the profit motive. It would be wrong to hope for sex slavers to Epstein in custody. But I'm not perfect.
So basically all we need to do is fire more than half of Congress, maybe 7/8 th of them, by the peaceful means of voting in new, less corrupt, citizens who are not ideologically and economically rewarded by being evil sluts.
Or REDACTED, that would work too, but I don't want to sit the Iron Throne.
And the same press who's so "worried" about this operative...WENT AND KNOCKED ON HIS FRONT DOOR. They were met by a couple folks who got out of a black SUV...but still. How horrible is this for members of our "press" to do, putting an American patriot (and their FAMILY) 's lives in danger??

And like Powerline points out, the NYT has repeatedly proudly published secret info.
I saw the reporter on TV talking about going to the door and wondered how on earth the info was so readily available. Is it some open secret like who really outed Valerie Plame or does the CIA really have that bad of a TDS sufferer(s) that blab anything to the presstitutes?
...or does the CIA really have that bad of a TDS sufferer(s) that blab anything to the presstitutes?
Worse than that. The CIA has traitors that think they can run foreign policy by leaking to the press. It happened under Bush the Younger. So while TDS does apply, so did Bush Derangement Syndrome.
I can understand believing that the President is incompetent to manage foreign policy, starting or escalating useless wars damaging to our country's reputation and safety. Look at Barry & Libya, Egypt, Syria, Iraq & Afghanistan. Name one single action that was sensible, or good for our country.
Obama fired/relieved/destroyed Many Officers in the military and intelligence services. I don't recall the kinds & numbers of leaks we see today, or during Bush. There were some, but... Different motives?
It's long been known the most powerful tool media has is choosing what to report, and not to.
That's based on the now quaint notion that the reporting will be objective and honest. Otherwise, it's not news, it's propaganda.
But what is it when a Party uses the power to choose which stories to publish by literally shutting down the presses/websites that publish things they don't like?
Easy, that's tyranny. Nothing new. ( neither is what inevitably follows )
So what is it when the biggest company for information removed words from it's dictionary for political purposes?
There is zero for the creator to apologize for in this video.
No, Dumb Cuomo, she did not set Sandy's face on fire. The ad shows a photo being burned, a common cinematic metaphorical trope. It's not even a real image of a photo being burned.
You know that, your outrage is a lie. What often causes violence actions like Dumb Cuomo's dismissive, dishonest, harassment of a minority women for telling the truth about his ideology. He is using fake outrage to hide the fact that he supports the same evil that caused the Killing Fields of Cambodia and the death camps in Poland & Germany.
Beneath contempt.
I do believe that someone insulting you with words does not justify physical violence. But it's best I will probably never be face to face with that man in a situation where he lies to my face about me like he did to that nice lady. I fall far short of Sainthood.

I’ve been trying to find any reference to an Arabic word or phrase that is similar to covfefe and I simply cannot. Can anyone point me to a site that defines it as something other than a typo?

So the link in the americanthinker article above is fake news? Photoshopped view of google translate? That’s disconcerting. I had grown to trust that site.

According to Google translate, cov fe'fe means The government's support for the government's work in the country
What Google translate said it meant last week, or last year, I don't know.
I don't speak Arabic. I just read that it meant "to stand up" within the last 24 hours.
Is that the same as the current Google translate quote above? Maybe.
If I say the United States intends to stand up troops to backstop Saudis against Iraqi attacks, then it's a close translation. 2 variations of diplo-xpeak. Ditto if I say Trump says he will act to stand up the National Guard on the border to protect Congressional members from Chupacabra attacks. Still fits.
But if I say If you want to get the tv remote off the shelf you have to stand up and get it yourself. Then it sure seems wrong.
What I do know about Arabic is it's a "flowery" language. Lots of metaphor and excessive words. And older. Than American English which is a mix of several languages, plus loan words, and much younger than the language of the Prophet. Both use loan words from Hindi, mangled in various ways.
Thus strict, literal translation of Arabic dialects is a bit tricky.
I'm too lazy to sort out the publication dates of the various biased parties. I never heard of some of the pro Trump websites. I seldom hear the truth from the anti Trump media. Both can easily be found with a web search on Bing or Microsoft.
I just assume that if it's owned by Bezos, or the New York Times, and it's about guns, history, socialism, or Trump that they are actively, deliberately, lying.
If it's about the Superbowl, they probably got the score right, and any plays they mention probably at least took place. I know that they have deliberately lied to the public in the past, and from there it's just choosing what filters to apply.
Yes, it's sad that they have negative credibility. I'm pretty sure that's on them, & not me.

German syntax. My grandson has been raised in Germany by his mother. My son said when he first started speaking English he sounded like Yoda because he was using English words with German syntax.
At 18 he now speaks perfect American English without a trace of accent.

The article didn't make it sound like anyone was complaining...it sounded like the "victims" (women) were self-shaming themselves for what is a natural act.
And then blaming...you guessed it...men. As the cause of the shame.
