On Friday we're having an event that will include a couple of top fuel bikes doing burns outs up close and personal in the parking lot. We'll also have vendors and such, food, beer the works. On Sunday gates open at 8am. Sportsmen eliminations at 9am, and pro eliminations at12.5pm ( www.ahdra.com ) I wouldn't mind coming up 78 either. I need to see what my responsibilities are though.

We potentially have a new member. Cory bought an XB12R with a race package last night. He used t obe the finance manager at Motorsports, has been through a number of bikes an we went for a test ride last week and he hadn't gotten over it so he had to come get it. He seems like a genuine "good guy" I look forward to having him around. |

Glicth I forgot to ask if you could see 'in the dark' the wheelie I pulled coming out of the gas station on 129 south after we cleaned the bugs off our shields again. It was a little high but I wanted to ride it out as far as I could. I thought a cool part of the ride was on the way home going 64 west and the navigator went past hwy 129 South, but you've got to admit it was some Kick long sweepers perfect for 90+mph |

Shred, the more I think about it the more I liked the whole ride, all butt the last 2 hours or so. We should have stayed over night, we could have ridden the rest of the day around the folks house, then rode back by way of Deal's Gap. Next time. I'll be needing to go back soon... Do ya smell a road trip? Next time we'll make provisions for more riders. Anyone interested in an overnight road trip? |

Looks like a broken intake valve and some of the broken bits migrated over through the intake to interact with the other piston as well. Was the bike new or used when he bought it? Also looks like the fins may have damage as well, or else it's just a photo effect. Please let us know what happened. |

It's broken in alright. I'm not super techy, but it seems like the valve guide was flawed and broke down. Then it got scattered about, getting hung up in the valve seat for a moment damaging the valve and head, then the valve broke off and the piston beat the snot out of it... that is a hole in the piston and it is seized. The fins were not damaged (must be the photo). The bike was new. Tech services (the Buell guys) said go no further we'll send you a new power plant. We've never seen this before. The bike had only been 150 miles. Cory is disappointed, but pleased with the way things are being handled. |

I've seen one Blast demo bike with a broken valve guide, bits of guide were blown back into the air filter box, had to retrieve it from a freeway around 2am or so one night. Not a common problem thankfully. And the good thing is he didn't crash, that would have been bad. |
