I stopped in to my local HD/BUELL dealer the other day to just look around. when i was leaving the BUELL tech came up to me and asked about my pipe (THE DRUMMER) so I proceeded to tell him about it and all its glory. He said back that a lot of costomers ask him about what is a good pipe for their BUELL and he didn't have a good answere for them, then he saw my pipe and became very interested. So I'm thinking this may be happening at a lot of other dealerships too. So maybe we can help out Kevin and Bubba by showing our DRUMMER to the BUELL tech, service manager or parts guy the next time we stop by our local dealer. What do ya think?? |

Once I get a Drummer I'll certainly do that. Granted, I think I know all the XB owners in AZ and I think they pretty much all know about the Drummer... |

Your not even close M1, there are alot of XB owners here in PHoenix crawling out of the woodwork that have no clue about Badweb nor The Drummer. Thats two days in a row now I have had someone turn around and fallow me until I stop just to find out what I have done to mine and what suggestions I have. |

I did just that a few weeks back when the local dealership was having their demo days. I handed out copies of Buell-related web-sites, including this one, the Drummer site, Trojan Horse, etc.. The dealership was kind of taken back by my resourcefulness...guess they never thought to organize this for potential Buell purchasers (?). I volunteered to hang around most of the day answering any questions the guys who just got off the demo rides might have about the Buells. All in all, a well-spent day! I am actually thinking about purchasing the Drummer myself (I have the Buell race exhaust)...maybe next season when I have more cash!? These bikes are just too good NOT to put out the good word about! |

Agreed Flick. I've talked to a LOT of people about the XB's. I can't help it, they're always standing there looking rather dumbfounded when I walk back to my bike. I've even had little old ladies with walkers stop to take a look. Sure maybe they were just resting, but their eyes spent most of their time on my bike... Someone finally asked me if I made it myself . |

Since I am new here and plan on buying a XB next summer/fall I have seen everyone ref. the drummer exhaust. what is the website so I can check it out since that would definately be the first thing I would change. |

Spread the Word. When and If I do change from the stock exhaust, it will probably be the Drummer. But for now, ADVERTISE..... My reason, I love the site and I'm trying to do my part to get more people interested in Buell's. Lately I've heard, Sweet, awesome, sick, and of course cool. Buell's they catch the eye don't they. Oh yeah, had one the other day looking, staring, "Somethings missing!". No, nothing's missing. "Yeah there is, where's the muffler?" The exhaust is under the bike. "DAMN, that's sweet." |

My dealer couldn't give 2 hoots. Didn't even ask who makes it. I guess he thought I was just plain weird buying a "modified stock pipe from the States" and fitting it to my new 12! |

A coule of weeks ago, my service writer who I have ridden with, saw my Drummer and became very interested. He told me he had the idea in mind back when he first got his X1 and asked to ride mine. Of course I could not say no. |

Two chinese men came up to me once, looked at my bike and said "Honda, right?". "You wish!!" I barked. Kinda shocked by my somewhat harsh reply, they politely asked "Who makes it then? Ducati?". I tell 'em it's a Buell, American, by Harley Davidson. "Oh Harley..." ... It turns quiet for a few seconds and it looks like they wat to walk away when one goes "Hey! weres the exhaust?". "It doesnt have one" I say. "What?! No exhaust?". I was crackin' up. "It's below the engine." "Ah, no good for in the water then! Goes Kaput!". Right, no good in the water....goes kaput. Got that guys!?! So then I ask them were they think the gas is. One taps on the plastic, notices it doesn't sound as solid as he expected, looks my way and goes "No?". "Nope!" I say. "It's in the frame." "Oooh!" ... "What's that then?" Pointing at the plastic thing he just tapped on. "That's the air filter my friend." It's getting real quiet now...they're just staring... I proceed to tell them about the swing arm and the oil in there, the shortest wheel base in the world, the extreme fork angle, pointed to the front brake (which they'd already been looking at), the feather light weight, center of gravity and closed with some bragging that Yamaha's and Honda's have trouble keeping up with it in the curves. The expression of amazement on their faces grew with every second they stood there staring. I obviously impressed two formerly ignorant chinese gentlemen! That same day another biker came up to me, telling me how he's been looking at Buells for quite some time now. I was however the first buell owner he was able to meet and talk to. He asked me a couple of questions and he's likely to go to a dealer soon for a testride. |

My dealership is interested in contacting Brian and Kevin and wants to offer Drummer conversion or exchange. They may have already contacted them. They tossed around the idea of putting a Drummer on a demo and also sending out a couple new OEM mufflers for conversion to Drummers so that they could stock the Drummer and offer them for sale with XB's. Can't go wrong with the Drummer. I've got right around 1000 miles on it, and it still makes me grin every time I twist that throttle. Kevin and Bubba did good for a couple o' hillbillies. Rich |

How does the drummer compare to the buell race exhaust with sound and performance, because i got my race kit today and it is pretty mean. But i still have the stock pipe if the drummer is that much better. |

Hey Gov...The Drummer sounds a bit deeper And for you 12 you'll find the race kit drops bottom-end power(below 3500rpm). I went with the Drummer because It was the only pipe for the 12 I could find that does not drop any bottom power. I recommend it highly. You will be impressed. Plus Kevin at KD is a cool hard working fella with a passion for helping others go fast. I say call him and do it. |
