They are all, technically, assault weapons. Just ask the politicians who decide what constitutes an assault weapon. |

My fancy waterproof boots someone gifted me fell apart recently, so I got a pair of tan jungle boots...quite assaulty. Being on a budget these days, a $25 pair of boots with $9 insoles feels pretty damn good, considering...though if it's soggy out those feet gonna be wet...though with waterproof boots...if it's raining hard and your pants aren't waterproof your feet are swimming, anyway. |

https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2019/05/colora do-stem-students-walk-out-vigil.html Students at the STEM School Highlands Ranch in Colorado stormed out of a vigil honoring their slain classmate on Wednesday evening in anger over what they saw as a “political stunt” using their tragedy to push for gun control. |

The kid had the stones to - UNarmed - rush a shooter. Can you imagine how things could have gone, if he'd been legally armed? He obviously had the bravery...that's the type of person who deserves to grow up to be an adult, not these whiny libtard jackasses who blame everyone else for their problems. Good on the kids for walking out. Piss on the Brady Campaign (and their "apology") for trying to use children to take away MY rights. |

News here said he was signed up to join USMC shortly after graduation next week. Yeah, the kid had stones... And, unlike Parkland, LEOs from local and surrounding PDs, Sheriffs, BATFE, DHS, Fire Depts and EMTs RUSHED in as soon as they arrived. A bad scene done right. Z |

The President and the USMC should award him a rank posthumously, maybe with a little pension setup for the family... |

I heard that he told his dad that he'd do that if faced with a shooter at school. No braggadocio here! |

https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2019/05/an- inflection-point-on-school-shootings.php The event was sponsored by the Evil Scum Exploiting a Crippled Man to Steal Your Civil Rights Corporation. The kids did a great job. |

Steven Hayward wrote, " It is tragic that the first student to rush one of the two shooters, Kendrick Castillo, died, but his sacrificial heroism enabled other students to gain the advantage on one of the shooters and prevent mass casualties. (And shouldn’t the school where this took place now be named for Castillo?)" |

And shouldn’t the school where this took place now be named for Castillo? That's the least that should be done. |

I hope the USMC makes a posthumous rank of at least PFC for him. He had a bright future... Z |

I'm back to choosing a 22lr revolver plinker. The choices are S&W and Charter Arms. I have purchased a Ruger LCR22, but have decided to gift it, as this person needs it more than I do...and the trigger feel is a bit too weird for me, anyway. The S&W would end up around $800 with a decent set of grips. It's a bit rich for my purposes...but they are well made and nicely finished. The Charter is kinda ugly and not particularly well finished...but would certainly get the job done and is also a little overbuilt for the application. I can aquire one of these for under $300. Some cosmetic polishing could improve its appearance some, though I'm not sure it'd be worth the effort. The S&W is an eight shot and the Charter a six. |

Those Rugers look solid. That new Taurus TX22 auto has been well received as well. It looks promising as a 16-shot semi auto. I like to stick to a double action snub for training purposes. Guns that are easy to shoot are boring and don't teach you much.

I always wanted a NEF(H&R) model 999 revolver. They came out just as Massachusetts went full retard with gunlaws. It essentially killed NEF. They couldn't sell in their own state! It's a breaktop 9-shot with a floating firing pin. It was cheap when sold new but now costs more that it should. Well everything in this state does. |

Those were pretty cool...though were rather crude in construction. |

>>Crude Yes. I wanted that aspect. but people still command a stupid price for them. I can't be bothered to pay "Collector's value" on a thing used to poke holes in cans. Ideally, I would love to find a beat to hell H&R999 so it would be cheaper but people don't seem to understand it is worth less now. |
