Yeah, I know, not a Buell, but I'm keeping mine. But this thing makes me giggle like any Buell I've ever owned. Here goes: Don't know if this is too much but read on and we'll figure that out together. (I've found 5 for sale this week at $9000 with nothing done to them but a pipe) $11,000 Located in NW Houston, TX Up for sale is a pristine example of a 2012 Harley Davidson XR1200X with a lot of performance goodies and only 1754 miles. The engine is untouched, other than going through it's 1st service of changing the engine and primary case fluids at around 900 miles. Other than that, it is in near new shape with no scratches or dings. The front wheel conversion and suspension upgrades make it nimble, yet comfortable and easy to control. All the mods are listed below. Corbin solo seat and passenger seat cowl. Stock seat included. Rox Risers and H-D Night Rod bars Twin Motorcycles performance airbox and K&N filter Power Commander V, Auto Tune and quickshifter Vance & Hines 2-1-2 full race exhaust Vance & Hines Race kit 17" forged front wheel conversion Vance & Hines race kit matching rear wheel Vance & Hines race kit front fender full floating front discs Michelin power 2CT tires 120/70ZR17 & 190/55ZR17 (about 800 miles old) Ohlins steering damper Ohlins S36PR1C1L twin shocks (preload, rebound, compression, shock length adjustable) Showa fully adjustable front forks revalved and resprung by Race Tech (preload, rebound, compression adjustable) Free Sprits belt tensioner swingarm spools Antigravity Re-Start lithium battery. Maintainer/charger included. Harley Davidson "Bungee Bars" - not installed, but can. Title in hand. }}} |

These bikes are fun. I sold my 2009 XR1200 a couple years ago so I could buy a 2018 Indian scout bobber. I mildly regret selling it. I think there’s a chance these will be future classics. Yours is nicely modified. |

Sabaugz, they probably will be a classic in another 5 or so years. But in the meantime, the Indian FTR1200S makes this bike a tough sell. My hope is that someone who likes XL motors and knows the bikes will find it appealing. |

Any suggestions for other places to advertise this sis welcome. I have it listed on XL Forum and XR1200 Owners Group forum as well. Problem with the XROG is that they already own one. |

I'll be honest. I don't think you will sell that bike at your ask. I sold my 2009 XR1200 about two years ago. It had a full stainless Vance and hines exhaust, corbin seat, K&N intake, Dobeck EJK fuel injection computer. Bike only had 3200 original miles with brand new tires. I was lucky to get $5700 for it. You may get lucky with the recent Street Tracker craze that's going on, but I honestly doubt it. The trouble with this bike- those who want one already have one. Harley people actually hate these bikes worse than they hate buells, and you've got an Indian FTR coming out any week now that is a much better bike. I hope you sell it. |

Is it still for sale? Do you have any of the stock parts, like its exhaust? Registering an out-of-state bike in California is a bitch if it does not have 50-state exhaust. I've owned many Buells and XR1200s). I guess I still have the itch! You can reach me easier with my email address: john@blowitz.com |
