He may've been using them for the first time in Argentina... Would've been fun if he used them in the Qatar night race. I'm sure the cameras would've singled him out if he did no matter where he was in the race. |

Good sportsmanship on display: Instead of berating him for knocking him out of the race, Maverick made sure that Franco Morbidelli was okay after their collision. Guess he really did take steps over the offseason to control his hotheadedness! |

A second a lap faster than the rest of the field...I'm not a fan of Marquez but damn he can ride a motorcycle!!! |

Yesterday, though, the second fastest motorcyclist on the planet was 40 years old... |

Rossi competing at the front of the MotoGP field is just as incredible an achievement as MM running away with the race. A 40 year old still kicking ass in a sport where a rider is considered long in the tooth by their mid to late 20s is just awesome. |

Yeh let's see where Marquez is when he's 40.... Provided he is still among the living, I don't think I'm going out on a limb to say he is likely to surpass all records set before and during his own lifetime. |

He might have all the records when it's all said and done, but Rossi will still have all the fans. |

Rossi has won plenty, and the fans love him for sure. It's exciting to watch the GOAT running near the front of the pack after all these years, and he's one hell of a racer. Period. That being said, I'm a fan but not a fanboy. He is not the best, he's just damned close to it. I really just wish he would stop pretending like he hasn't done every single thing in his career that he accuses Marquez of. To me, it just smacks of sour grapes and poor sportsmanship. It's racing - they're supposed to be trading a little paint, and blowing the stickers off each other's plastic. It's why I watch in the first place. |

Well, this weekend the mystery is who will finish second. They ought to just assume Marquez will win, give him 25 points and let him take the weekend off. |

Two tickets to MotoGP race in Austin tomorrow: Great seats on Turn 15. Two e-tickets including parking. $200 for both. First come, first served. |

About mid-race, I was thinking how COTA was the worst track on the calendar and the race was turning into a snoozer...then it got better all of a sudden. Marquez's clown act trying to re-mount was the icing on the cake! Rins rode well. Vale did pretty good for an old man. (Message edited by fresnobuell on April 15, 2019) |

It was bound to happen. Marquez is basically doing a controlled crash in EVERY corner. Sooner or later the odds were going to catch up to him. Just glad he wasn't hurt. The announcers pretty much called the outcome of the race. Just as Yamaha was experiencing their "End of Race" tire drop-off, the Suzuki came into its own. The engineers really need to figure that out. Marquez wasn't the only one doing a "Clown Act." It was just more obvious than Vinales' act. Two races in a row, the second fastest motorcycle racer in the world is 40 years old... |

MM was in way to hot to that corner when he crashed. COTA blows. You know when the scuttle about how bad the track sucks gets to the announcers and it's actually talked about during the boradcast, it's bad. Good thing they ditched an iconic track the riders love (Laguna Seca) for that mess. It really is all about the money. |

They also ditched the most POPULAR race in the States (in terms of attendance). |

Don't get me started about superspeed ways trying to impersonate road race courses...Indy was low on the popularity list for the riders as well. |

I remember when Laguna Seca was only liked by Kenny Roberts. All the other regular Formula 1 (now Moto GP) racers hated it. Indy was a damned good course. I rode it on a 90 MPH "Parade Lap". |

Fresno: The Red Bull Indianapolis GP was named by MotoGP as the circuit’s "Best Grand Prix" in 2014, the first North American race so honored. Naturally a year later they decided to STOP going there. |

"Factors such as organisation, facilities and atmosphere are typically taken into account when the 'best Grand Prix' vote is made." I don't see rider's input on that list. @Crusty--Care to share what the complaints where against Laguna Seca? I am curious about what would make a rider/driver "hate" Laguna Seca. |

Crusty, we got to do a parade lap on the Indy course too. We didn't pay for it, but they misdirected us when we showed up. We wanted to go to the parking area, but they directed us to the staging area for the parade lap. WAH-HOOO that was fun!! |

Paddock is too small at laguna. Indy is too flat to provide feedback. Cota track is trashed already. Having said that I hope they come back to Indy. Rumors are flying. |

Laguna Seca will always be my favorite track. To me, there is no more iconic image than a pile of riders flying down the corkscrew. That being said, dumping Indy was stupid. I hope they bring it back. COTA is kind of "meh". |

Pretty good assessment. Love the fact that the Argentina round was added in place of the Laguna seca and now all you hear about that Argentine track is how hard it is too get to and how much the riders dislike it. But Dorna is making more money there apparently! Big Whoop. |

Moto3 in Lemans. Off the hook. Seems to be a recurrent theme. It's just sensational. |

You know what? I have a sneaking suspicion Honda is going down the same path Ducati did when Stoner rode for them. Since Marquez is capable of winning on just about ANYTHING, they don't seem to realize what a bad package they really have. No one can fault Lorenzo or Crutchlow's talent... but they both seem COMPLETELY adrift this season! Marquez' ride is one controlled crash after another; sooner or later that is going to catch up to him. Frankly, I don't care if Honda ever fixes this situation; this is just an observation on my part... Compare that to where Ducati is now. They've taken over Yamaha's position as the manufacturer of a bike almost anyone can ride fast. This weekend is a bit of an anomaly as FOUR of the top five bikes on pole are Yamahas. I'm hoping this is a turn around for them. Marquez is only up there because he got an unintentional tow from Rossi. |
