I will take it to the next level. I have little inkling of the 51 flavors that make me up. All I know of is pinch of Indian so small as to not have bragging rights and the deutsch immigrant. With that said, I know of no slave ever owned by my forefathers. Should however it be laid to my credit that I was responsible for having a descendant of a slave I was responsible for alive today, in lieu of reparations paid by me, I demand tribute paid to me for their very existence right here in the greatest country on Earth! | ||

I'm a direct blood descendant of John Brown, the abolitionist . Does that buy me a pass? I also can document a Union Solider in my past, my father's Grampa Route. Actually he was an uncle but he was Grampa to everyone. I have a photo of him with my 7 year old father. He was wearing his Grand Army of the Republic metal. No slaves every held on either side of the family. They're not getting a penny out of me | ||

We as a nation paid reparations to those affected/offended, with the passage of the 13th Amendment. Former slaves were now considered citizens, and all opportunities and potentials of being citizens of this great Nation were made available to them. Success isn't automatic. You still need to work, to put forth effort. With the potential for success, is also the potential for failure. That...is what makes success so sweet, once it is achieved. | ||

I think the deciding factor for that debate is "what are they fighting FOR?". Abolition is a "universal good"...anti-slavery/emancipation is a universal good... Socialism? Universal (history proves it) bad. Totalitarianism? Universal bad. Slavery (otherwise known as state-housing, state-transportation, and state-wages)? BIG universal bad. The violence debate will soon enough change from "if"...to "when". And once that point is crossed..."to what extent". | ||

If he attacked the slave sellers directly? Different answer. I think you only get to be called a Freedom Fighter if you are Popular, later. Who makes you popular is a whole different story. | ||

Cashless society = food credits. Utility credits. Housing credits. You will NOT be allowed to purchase a "nice" home. I would never be allowed to live in a four bedroom home on four acres...by myself. They want control. I'm a fan of experimental archeology. Thor Heyerdahl is one of my idols. If you've never heard of the field, it's understandable, but a shame. Figuring out how people used technologies you don't know or understand is really more interesting than the fictional Jurassic Park. ( although we may see more dramatic results soon ) Especially the Ra expedition. Ra II sailed across the Atlantic in a papyrus boat. To prove it was possible to do so. And thus that Egypt might have influenced pre-columbian civilizations. But the real fun was Ra 1. It failed. Spectacularly. Why is interesting. | ||
