I was thinking the other day about how many years I have been riding, and all the different motorcycles that I have owned.....it then occurred to me that my favorite bike is my current 2000 S3T. It will be a "Cold day in Hell" before I sell my S3T, that's how much I enjoy this bike. I plan on buying more of them too, the only challenge is making room in a 2 car garage that already has two bikes and a convertible mustang GT... decisions, decisions.. That's easy, kick the car out into the driveway! Of all the bikes that I've owned and sold, my XB9 is the only one I miss, and regret having let go. That being said, I love the S1 more than I ever did the XB, and don't plan on ever letting it go. |

Serious financial trouble will be the only thing that'll get me to sell any of my Buells. Tube frame bikes will be the last to go. |

Thanks, I really like the k1200, it's more of a long distance bike with all of the bells and whistles. |

If I had not make a quick from from NYC to LA . . . that K1200 would be a great choice. |

I will be putting my S1W in my will because I won't part with it as long as I'm on this earth. Even when I'm too elderly and feeble to ride it...I'll polish it up and look at it in my living room. |

stonefly58- nice collection of S3's you have. Clearly you have a 'thing' for the PM wheels! I have the exact same setup as your demon blue S3 except mine has the stock wheels. I have been looking for an inexpensive set of PM's to throw on there. |

Are you set on getting an S3 in those gray and orange colors? If not, there is a really nice M2 with only 3800 miles on it in Sullivan Wisconsin. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/21764687 16009571/ |

MarkJ, exactly right. I have already told my beneficiary, IF he sells it and allows it to become a parts bike, I WILL be back to haunt him in his dreams. My X1 has been the best $ I ever spent. And yea I wanted an S1, but at this point, this bike has saved my life, more times than I care to even remember. I'm attempting to build my carbed (S1 style) Buell with an M2 frame and all of my spare parts, and no way in hell will I be running that couch for a seat the press gave US... I always loved the Orange on Buells too. Grey/Orange looks great on them. Awesome Buells in here folks, keep an rollin'. I will be dreaming about a Orange/Nuke blue S1W until I pull my last breathe. |

Sold my '02 X1 in 2010 to buy an XR1200. regretted it and found it through the VIN. Bought it back exactly as I sold it with only 700 more miles on it. I'll never do that again! |

Twister, good deal. I sure wish I could get my 68 Camaro back...! After that, I will never sell this bike. |

^^^ I can relate to that...sold my '68 with some front end damage, and some rust, but with a strong small block, Muncie M22, headers, V-Gate shifter and more for $100 back in '80, just to move it before I moved. Now I have 10 bikes, and ain't selling none of em. |

I didn't realize that others were as attached to their Buell as much as I am, great to see! As far as any additional purchases, they need to be S3T's, all stock. On another note; I did some research and found out that my S3T is faster 0-60 mph than my k1200gt, from 100 mph up the k1200gt has it hands down. |

stonefly if i may use your choice ride for example,i am new to buells and what fits what. i have a 2000 cyclone ..Does a 2000 m2 come with the 5 gallon "manta" tank or is that a swap from an s3? i know thats the tank wanted in original black.. my 2000 m2 also has dash with speedo and tach and barrell key switch, it looks factory and the wires not butchered but i thought the key was near petcock? i need enlightenment, lol. are the gages etc swapped from an S3 too? or?.. Will an S3 fairing swap to an m2? When I say swap I mean minimal mods and hand tools, but i have a fab/machine shop so .. i thought i saw a thread on this tank swap? Also still huntin 2000 M2 stock mirror grips and levers, whcihc are same as s3 x1? bike has been hacked and zip tied with ebay chinese bits in piss yellow i cannot abide., Will be on the hunt for original paint black fender and flyscreen[?] WTH its called that?lol....Also might be in market for the body parts mentioned in original white too. I did find a good source for tank letters AND the tail/screen decals, any Buell model, My cyclone decals look great and good prices. Where would i find the paint codes for the black and white? thanks in advance... Be careful on evilbay I came a very unscrupulous seller of buell parts today. Total buttwipe...I will be posting up some parts soon for sale cheap m2 s3 x1 that i had to buy the lot to get what i needed thanks again for checkin ya'lls stashes can't wait to get this beast on the road.first super bike from 40 years on mostly rigid choppers and fxr's for distance... |

Hawgford, Thanks for the thumbs up on my S3T, I know many of the parts on the S3T, S1 & M2 are interchangeable within the same year, as far as the S3 fairing mounted to an M2 I know you need the faring mount to make that happen. If you liked the ride and handling of the fxr, you definitely like your Buell, many don't know that Eric Buell designed the frame for the fxr, that's why it's still the best handling HD to this day, of course some will argue that point. As far as paint codes, there's a paint store in Vallejo, CA., Ned's, They can produce the exact color of any Buell, any year, all they need is the model and the factory color name,in my case it would be Demon Blue or Amazon Green, year 2000. The chin fairing on my green Buell is from a 2001 S1, painted to match. |
