Virulently homophobic is the label used to describe the management and clergy in this operation. This reminds me of a theory of mine, that "radical Islam" as much as it can be considered monolithic , screwed up on 9/11. I think they could have, instead, infiltrated American religious folk, and exploited their conservatism, radicalizing it against progressive sexual politics, ( exploitation of divided flavors ) & the increased tolerance of an enlightened civilization. The aggressive proselytizing of Islam would have given them enough numbers to vote themselves into power. If they were an accepted part of a dominant conservative culture. Instead, Islamist chose a different path by exploiting the progressives. The century plus old progressive/Marxist/Statist church depends on lies and back stabbing to gain & keep power. Their experience has been with the enemies, the old monarchies, ( fading away with the rise of ) The Enlightenment inspired Republics, & other communist dictatorships. It's the nature of that competition I want to consider. The Old Monarchies were Machiavellian and greedy, but were almost gone by mid century. The Republics try to deal honestly, and have been extensively infiltrated by progressives, whose ideology of deceit exploits the difference in mind set. Good people in our culture don't assume you are lying. And Other communists? In the bipolar world of the 20th, the Soviets absorbed them by force, except China. The 2 main statist powers are warily at war with each other, deal dishonestly, at stalemate. Ask any escaped from the Iron curtain and they'll tell you they expect Statists to be untrustworthy. Thus the progressive/statist movement/church has a century experience backstabbing, but mostly Republic folk, who are easy marks. ( relatively. Consider Madison avenue) But now, there's a partnership/mutual exploitation by Islam and Statists. There has been since Hitler & Stalin sided with different tribes in N. africa/Iraq/Iran etc. in WW2. Now it's part of our domestic political scene. ( business as usual. Rome, France, England all had such dealings with that region. Troy, for goodness sake, it's the craphole crossroads of Eurasia and Africa. Spice roads, caravans, bandits, Empires, & oil. ) So. Now the progressives have to deal with a culture with not just a century of ripping off decent folk, but 1400 years of mutual dishonesty. Suckers to the slaughter. I could be wrong. | ||

U.S. troops faced brand new French anti tank missiles sold during a ban on such sales in the liberation of Iraq. The bunkers Saddam had built to hide himself and his WMD programs were built by German companies. Both violated international bans on selling weapons & support to Saddam. Both countries had high officials, in France, the Foreign Minister, made rich by theft from the "oil for food" program. It's not Macron's faith after all, he worships himself as the God King of the Holy State. I'm not sure what titles Merkel has in her imagination. | ||
