World Superbike is not returning to Laguna Seca this year in 2019. Supposedly they are returning in 2020. We will see. Why the 1-year hiatus? Road racing is dying in America. Another sign is MA is moving several events to "2-day events". I'm just glad I got to see several years of MotoGP in it's hey day. |

JD is going to be a very busy man next season.

Per "Road Racing World," if there is a conflict between American Flat Track and MotoAmerica, JD will race MotoAmerica. |

I bet if he's close to leading in the points in Flat Track, he chooses otherwise. Right now, there's more money in Flat track than in Road Racing in the US. |

Well; according to the AFT site, Three AFT/MotoAmerica race dates conflict in 2019, and Beach knows that, barring a medical-cloning miracle, he’ll have to choose one or the other. He says he’ll cross that bridge when the time comes, and probably make the decision relative to how he’s sitting in the respective championship series. He was fast at the Daytona TT, finishing second. At the next round, the Atlanta Short Track, he suffered a flat tire and DNF. It'll be fun watching him this year. I'm hoping that he can put the Yamaha up on the box. Brian Smith will be back on the Crosley Kawasaki that he won his championship on. It will be nice when there's a number of marques that are capable of winning on the Circuit. I think that Harley will eventually have a competitive bike, and KTM is also getting into the mix. It's going to be an interesting season. |

Think of the skill it takes to ride a bike like this at 140 MPH on a Horse racing track!

Afraid so! ...at least as far as Honda goes. I think my buddy still has the hots for some type of sponsorship and may get involved at some other level, if not some other organization. We'll see! |

I am SOOOO confused. Earlier in November I read that JD was going to defend his Supersport title with Rickdiculous Racing. Today, a report came out that JD will be competing in Superbike with Attack Performance! Is he going to race in BOTH classes as well as Flat Track?? And what happened to Josh Herrin? He lost his ride with Attack? 2019 could be a very interesting season. I did see a Press release stating that Beaubier and Gerloff will be back with Monster Yamaha. I really think Beaubier is wasting his time here in the States but the Europeans seem to have made up their minds they don't want or need any Americans in their series. |

To answer my own questions: I see JD thanked Rickdiculous racing for releasing him to ride the Superbike, so he won't be doing BOTH classes in Moto America. And the rumor is that Herrin will partner Toni Elias on the other factory Suzuki. The cards are finally falling into place. |

Yeow!! I had heard of issues with customer service, but was not aware of the significance of the impact. I doubt we'll be seeing any Magneti Marelli sponsorship stickers on any future RRF rides...and I can't say I'd blame them! |

I'd heard rumors that Jake rode the Honda "Casey Stoner Style" (i.e. "Turn all that shit off"). Guess this confirms it, eh? |

Back when MotoGP was still going to Indianapolis we were touring "Ducati Island" and my friend noticed that the Panigale they had on display sans bodywork had Mitsubishi electronics. We were wondering why an Italian bike had Japanese electronics and NOT Magneti Marelli. Wonder if they knew then what we just learned now? |

I know for a fact that there were a number of races Jake ran the Honda with ZERO electronic aids, due to the problems they were having. They ended up just turning them ALL off on occasion, just to keep the bike on the track. Much anatomical scratching had occurred! |

The practical thinking was that Yamaha pulled back on having a full factory effort because they were the biggest presence in the field, and could win simply by numbers played. I guess this kinda dilutes that theory: http://www.roadracingworld.com/news/motoamerica-ky le-wyman-to-race-ducati-panigale-v4-r-in-2019-supe rbike-championship/ I've not heard anything more on Westby teasing with possibly working with Aprilia. |

http://www.roadracingworld.com/news/motoamerica-mo re-on-kawasakis-team-green-contingency-program/ Considering how Kawasaki has been dominating WSBK, I'm surprised there's so few of them in MotoAmerica. The contingency money is nice, but a factory effort might be more successful. It's certainly working for Suzuki and Yamaha! |

Kyle Wyman will be racing a Panigale V4 this year in MotoAmerica. Way cool, can't wait to hear what that thing can do. Without factory support I don't know if he'll challenge Yamaha/Suzuki, but you never know... |

Support Jason Pridmore in his recovery efforts and get a cool shirt to boot. I emailed the people making the shirt to see what it's made out of and general sizing. I'll post up when I get a reply. http://www.roadracingworld.com/news/buy-a-limited- edition-jp43-phillip-island-classic-team-shirt-to- support-jason-pridmore/ |

From the shirt maker: Thanks for reaching out. Out shirts are made wish a 220 gsm woven polyester. We use a dye sublimation process. The fit is very true. It is more of a "fitted" type, not too baggy but definitely not tight. |

Damn. MotoAmerica will be broadcast on Fox Sports 2 this year, not beIN. I've gotten spoiled by beIN's broadcasting. I hope we don't have to suffer through commercials DURING the race, but I have a bad feeling we will. Wonder if they'll retain the same announcers? I hope this doesn't mean they're bringing back Ralph Shaheen!! |

Well that's one less worry: Greg, Jason and Hannah will be returning as the "Voices of MotoAmerica" this year, despite the change of channel. Glad to see they're keeping the band together. I plan on wearing my JP43 shirt in Pittsburgh this year, too! |
