But I want to point out that while the Media use conservative as a curse word, the Communist activists Stole Liberal to cover for their real cause, then moved to Progressive when Liberal became Rush's choice curse word. Rush is ignorant. I'm a Liberal. Liberal Western Civilization. The Enlightenment. The rise of the individual and individual rights over authoritarian Kings and Dictats. In short, everything the Progressives want to kill, who are actually Regressives, yearning for return to the days of absolute power. Their very chosen name is a lie, as is their entire Faith. Look at the EU where the unelected bureaucrats are the new royalty, & since they've declared that God is Dead, they're not Kings by right of God, but Heroes of the Holy Revolution. On NPR they were saying the wave of torture/rape/murders of journalists was a good thing since it showed there were actually journalist seeking corruption stories. And how the EU had condemned these anonymous murders, (that were covering up their corruption ) and that somehow made it all solved. Yeah, a bit tough on the few brave ones, though, eh? | ||

The problem may simply be that they have to lie. Marx wasn't an economist, Marxism isn't an economic system. It was the popular language of the college student trying to look cool, at the time. Like bias studies is today. Use some big words with variable meaning and you get unearned cred. In my day it was riding the civil rights train after the battles had been fought and the blood of Young Republicans who went to register blacks to vote, had been spilled. Manhattan made from quality ingredients. If you really want to light up your tastebuds, sub gin for the bourbon and orange bitters for the Angostura and hold the fruit. Which is a convoluted way of describing a completely different drink, but I find, especially while explaining to bartenders that I want sweet vermouth in my gin, and exactly zero dry vermouth, that it’s easier to start with something familiar. | ||

Rape is an accepted practice in the ongoing war, and a cultural norm, as the attitude built into All the customs of ownership of women is based on the notion that men just cannot control their urges. But my anger here is directed at the politicians that not only refuse to admit they are at war, ( a major problem in the U.S. too ) but blame the rape victims for being incautious/too sexy/not modest enough. Frankly, my initial reaction is to be excessively unkind to the politicians. I'll leave it at that. I agree with the judge. FGM has nothing to do with the arbitration of trade disputes between the states. Ironic that the ruling, I agree, is legally correct, even a promising direction in legal precedent, yet annoys me so much. I can only hope local prosecutors take action as appropriate, and this serves to spur the other States to pass well written laws. If your State doesn't have laws against mutilation of children, pay attention to who opposed the proposed, if any, law, and more importantly, WHY they oppose it. If they oppose it because it would make male circumcision illegal, then the proposed law may, in your opinion, need to be rewritten. I'm not going to get into that argument, since it makes me cringe, and despite years of consideration, I don't have a logical opinion that I can defend. If they oppose it because it's racist or islamophobic, then note them as someone to do your part to remove or block from office. | ||

Depicting lavish Vegas parties for the pimp convention, ( my personal choice for a mass arrest event ) and idealizing a lifestyle of beating women who didn't make enough money in prostitution to please their owners, was profoundly infuriating to me. Perhaps I've had too much exposure to the real thing. If anything could make me admire Travis Bickle, it's dating a volunteer at the local women's shelter, and working the midnight shift at a downtown gas station. Where my customer base was pumps and lost tourists. You can then see my fury at the use of the euphemistic lie, "grooming gang". Makes it sound like a free hairstylist operation with Prada shoe give aways, and not the pedophile gang rape & enslavement of little girls. Worse, the perps are a protected class in England, where the police ignore crying parents and refuse to investigate blatant, obvious, crimes including murder and intimidation. Even reporting on the rare trials will get you thrown in prison in the former champion of civilization. I don't expect any better from local news in reporting such horrors. See article above. |
