I don't know if I believe your claimed "top speed on two wheels". Call me skeptical... |

He has a qualifier attached to it,"52 MPH - passing through Utah in 1998". He may have went through that State that slow in that year. |

Reminds me if the time .... in a bit of a rush from East Troy to NYC ..... that I got called in Wilke’s office.
Moral of the story ..... the www.Buell.com on the bag lids quickly got taped over.
Apparently ....”drying the Aerostich” fails to rise to a sufficient degree of emergency to warrant triple digit extended travel. Who knew?
The other story .... that came up the other day .... was buying the single unlubricated condom in PA at 2am. I’m sure that poor kid is still not right. |

Late to the party here...
I upgraded to the 3 bearing wheel on my 2009 XB12X after an unfortunate get off in 2012. Story for another time...
I bought my rear wheel from Al @ American Sport Bike. Al supplied it with bearings and spacers installed. The left side (brake rotor side) spacer was inserted in the seal.
After a tire change or two, I was afraid I didn't have that spacer. Al assured me that I must have had it or the seals would be damaged. He sent/sold me an additional spacer and a set of seals. Turned out I did have the spacer and my seals were OK.
I still have the seals and spacer in the HD packaging.

Also for future note, the spacer tends to pop off and get stuck on the wheel balancer, so check that should yours appear to be missing. |

Thanks for sharing, Barry, and I do want to hear about your rear wheel story.
Froggy, that's a good tip. I had planned on mounting and balancing the rear myself but my irons weren't up to the challenge so the wheel never made it onto my balancer. The front tire change was cake. I need to get those irons that mate together to provide a longer prying distance...saw them in a motorcyclist youtube video. |
