Okay I got a replacement stator for my 06 Uly but it seems the magnet in the rotor is stronger then I am, I can't get it to move a bit. Is there a secret to this or do I need to hit the Gym? Yes I did a search but no luck. |

It should come off with reasonable force. You have loosened the clutch assembly, right, so you can take the rotor, clutch, and chain off at one time, right. |

Clutch assembly is loose slides nice. I gave it all I got and still it will nit budge. Some kind of puller maybe? |

It should pop off with proper (gentle!!) prying. Clutch ready to remove. Primary chain ready to remove. Rotor should come with the chain. Maybe start working the clutch basket off first, so the chain is helping pull the rotor off instead of adding to the magnetic bind that holds it on? (Ya did remove the big ol' nut that holds the rotor on, right?) |

The only other thing I can think of is that somebody may have gotten carried away with the red Locktite last time; that could have gotten into the splines and be holding it. If you can't get it any other way, a puller may be required. Whatever you do, don't hit it. The magnets are fairly fragile and you can break them or dislodge them from the glue that holds them in place. |

If I remember correctly there's two 1/4"-20 holes in the rotor. You can put a couple of screws in there with washers so you have something to grab onto. If you have a bar over the end of the shaft with two holes in it you can make a quick puller. |

3 holes. two small side holes, to hold the 1/4"-20 bolts. Large hole (threaded) for a center bolt, then you can thread a bolt through that against the end of the crankshaft to lift the puller and rotor away from the stator. |

There are 8 holes on the outside face of the sprocket about .187 with threads located about 1/4 inch down. |

Finally got my stator off, I was able to get the clutch and chain off which allowed me to put a three jaw puller on the sprocket and pull off the rotor. |
