How's about a different run...Arivaca! A guy that lives behind me has a couple of bikes (a new gold wing and a BMW) told me the back road to Arivaca has 25 to 30 miles of two lane switchbacks with no traffic on it. He used to race AMA and really enjoyed sportbikes. The road is south of Green Valley and his says its a really good run. He says its some of the best twisties in the south and that once you get to Sasabe you run north back up where we can go by Kitt Peak again! What do you think? | ||

DAMN IT! My puter was down due to SASSERB virus patch and missed the note about the airing of Spring fest... Would've liked to see it. BNB, Give me a call on Sat eve, Sun morn. I sent you my #. Maybe we could meet at the track. As far as the pegs, ever since I slid out, I haven't been getting over too far anymore... Used to touch em all the time. Call me a scaredy cat if you like, but the roads out here suck! Gravel everywhere. I'm sure I'll regain confidence when I get on some good roads... Wycked, good to hear you're getting her back. Brian, I won't be able to do a long run like that because of all the folks I have to see this weekend. My ride time is limited pretty much to Sunday morning. I need to be back in Tucson by 1300 hrs to take care of a bunch of overdue honeydoos. You know all about them don't ya? Artful, I'm gonna try to set up a meeting place on the southeast side for everyone. Is anyone else going to be able to make it? | ||

I will be in Superior at Los Hermanos restaurant/bar at noon on Saturday. I believe that AL is going to meet me there. Don't know if anyone else from Phoenix is going. On Sunday... We will meet at 9AM at the Denny's on the southeast corner of Broadway and craycroft. We will leave around 9:30AM. Wes will be able to make this run, are you still coming Brian? I think Artful will be going also, his bike is back up and running. We will be going down to Patagonia for a few cold ones and then heading back. I need to be back in town by 1400 hrs. (that's 2PM for you civilians) Be there, or quit your whining... Here's your chance to ride.   | ||

Bartimus, I believe you stand to be corrected. Wouldnt that be the southeast corner of Broadway/Wilmot? Broadway/Craycroft is a bar-be-que place. Dennys is Broadway/Wilmot , 150 yards SE of the intersection. If you meet there at 7:30-8:00am(civilian)time, I may go with you.  | ||

Yeah I made it, no thanks to BArt's directions...sheesh..."Take Power Rd to the 202.." Power rd doesn't go anywhere near 202...or the 101 for that matter. Someone needs to update the mapchip in his head... Charlie they work real good. Made it home about midnight then met up with Bart thinking he was going to ride Salt River Canyon. Went as far as Winkleman and headed back. | ||

Ha ha ha,, I can't believe you couldn't find the 202 from power!!! Loop 202 dead ends at power road!!! You had plenty of time, you could have gone up through Globe and on up the Salt by yourself, sorry if you though otherwise. I NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT SALT RIVER CANYON. I said I was riding to Tucson and AL was meeting me in Superior. Scroll up and read the posts. 1) you should know better than to take directions from someone who moved to Phoenix 3 weeks ago! 2) You Tucson guys should know better than to take directions from someone that doesn't even live in Tucson. I had a great time, the ride there and back was fun. A little windy today, but still enjoyable. The ride yesterday was great, I had a good time, it was good to see everyone again. Artful, I hope you get that TPS issue taken care of. AL, I'm bummed I didn't get a picture of you in them shorts riding your Buell, that was classic! I guess I won't plan anymore rides since I'm so bad with directions. Maybe I'll go ahead and sell my Buells and just go back to riding the Harley. You guys hurt my one and only feeling,  | ||

MAybe your thinkin' emails Bart but all your message says is your going to be at Los Hermanos and that Al is going to meet you but you don't know about anyone else from Phoenix. Don't see nothing that says you are going to Tuscon from there  202 dead ends at Power??? You might want to look again at a map...Power crosses E Mcdowell 7 miles from the 202 ending...Thats the closest it gets. Oh and as far as selling your Buells how about I take that S2 off your hands for oh say $.05 since that is all your directions are worth Just giving you greif man, that ride up to the Landing wasn't bad at all. Its what I really needed, a nice mellow no stress ride to unwind. Don't let my complaining get ya. |
