That damn seat was an overstuffed turkey that had my feet barely touching the ground -- and I'm a bit above 5'11". I pulled out 100 percent of the bulbous foam and replaced it with a fire-retardant pad about 2 inches thick that I got at a craft shop and cut with scissors to size. Then I stapled the seat cover back on -- the Uly plastic seat readily accepts staples. It was an easy fix to make a good bike more comfortable. Looks fine. The extra foam was meaningless, given the position of the foot pegs for shock absorption. |

Just went through something similar. Long story but took it to a local shop. They sanded it down, took a lot off, let me try it a couple of times. Still comfortable and i can just about flat foot now. I think it says a lot for the design of the seat. |
