I'll do a little write up at the 125K mark. That shouldn't take too long. I just need to reset the TPS this afternoon and it's done for another 5,000 miles of motorcycling merriment here in the wilds of Central Pennsyltucky. |

That is awesome! The first six years I was on pace with you. The second six years I only managed about 4,000 miles. Total miles on any bike. I had planned to ride this Uly to 100,000 then mount it into a wall in my office. Then buy a new one and start over. I guess my plan has become altered by circumstance. Now it seems I will ride it to however many miles I can go, and when I quit riding it will get mounted into a wall of a man cave somewhere.

Yeah, maintenance at 125,000. Take a rag, wipe the bottom of the engine, wring out the rag into a plastic bucket. Pour the juices through a cheese cloth, dump it back in the crank case and keep riding! |

I just have a 100 mile/day commute and use the Useless like a car so it adds up quickly. It makes a really good bike for high traffic/lots of pothole situations like what I'm dealing with. Bike looks like hell, though. After 15,000 miles of going to the ghetto it just got trashed. I've been using old panty hose as a strainer, I hope that's okay? |

Are the panty hose part of your riding gear in the ghetto?? |

Yes, they keep the riff raff at bay. Just put some donor tires on the Useless, we'll see how the Pirellis I pulled off a Triumph do in the rain this week. |

Diablo Rosso Corsa IIs which came on my Sprint GT. So far, so good. Rain all week so this will be a good torture test. The Triumph got Michelin Road 5s which feel tremendous on that bike. Real confidence inspiring with fast, stable handling. |

I loved Rossos on XBs. Sticky in dry. Lot of grip in the rain. Not as many miles out of them compared to Angels. About half. |

I think I've been caught in the rain nearly every day since the Pirellis went on. So far, so good. They feel better on the Buell than they did on the Sprint GT; I just didn't trust the front tire on the Triumph as it felt a little greasy but not so on the Useless. |

My guess is the suspension geometry of the Buell is matched up to the Pirelli during the engineering. |
