I have a 2002 x1w. I have replaced the AIT, O2, and head temp sensor with brand new sensors. I also installed a fresh race tune, wires, and plugs. Previously my afv was 139. Tested for intake leaks. Pulled the injectors and checked them. Everything seems fine I do not get what the problem is. Bike is pretty clean and only has 16000 miles. I reset the tps. It reads 18° at 1069 rpm. The bike seems to run rough in the lower rpms, not want to idle, and on high rpms on deceleration bike seems to cut out.} |

Also it is spuddery and hiccuping threw the intake |

When you pulled the injectors, did you check the injector o-rings? I've seen poor running on an X1 because the injector o-rings were creating an air leak. |

That would not make the bike run as rich as it is but the o rings seal up good and have no flat spots or cracks. The bike is dumping 2x to 4x the amount of fuel it should it seems like. |

That would tell me it's the O2 sensor. I always tell people that "just cause it's new doesn't mean it works".
Didn't you have the IAT sensor fail? And it was new right?
Unplug your O2 sensor and see if it gives you the same fuel overload. Could be the wire/circuit to the O2 sensor is broken/shorted. |

Rich condition could caused by your fuel pump pressure regulator. Check fuel pressure and compare numbers to your service manual. A dirty or failing injector could also cause a rich mixture. |

Left side…did you find a solution to your Rick X1? I have a 2001 S3 with 25,000 Kms with exactly the same issue. Done seals, grounds,sensors,coil,wires,plugs,TPS reset many times AFV reset. Ready to part the bike out if I don’t get it running correctly soon. Bogging when accelerating. |

I fixed my bogging problem when I realized that my muffler was plugged. Runs fine now. |

Was it a banana or a potato blocking the muffler?
I am very happy you got a fix for it but the pain through which you've gone is terrible. Best to you.

I was happy to replace all the parts in my 22 year old bike and be able to repair it myself without taking it to the dealer. Now I know most of the parts that wear out in time have been replaced and I can ride for the rest of my lifetime with knowing it has been updated.
