Changed my headlights to HIDs and my side running lights to LEDs. Need to get some better LED's, these aren't near bright enough. The HIDs are pretty sweet though.

HID's take too long to warm up to be used as highs, IMO, so I only run them for low's. I bought this set a few years ago, I believe from American Sport Bike when Al had it up and running. They sat in a box and got forgotten about until last week. In the past I've bought HID's from DDM tuning and xenonHIDs. DDM tuning ships from China and took 3 weeks to arrive. I don't have a good recommendation, just shop around. And make sure you get a slim ballast as there's not much real estate on (most) motorcycles. |

lowered the fairing and changed the windscreen earlier this week, and took her for a spin today.
This bike is nuts. Why did I ever stop riding it? Oh that's right. Kids. |

be nice if there was a way to retro fit the 1190 cooling system onto the 1125r... does the 1190 deal with warm/hot days and traffic well? |

As far as cooling, yes. Very well. Not at all like my CR didn't |

Those are crazy headers! I like the way they're built, but going into a stock can?? Obviously no RSS option anymore either, but hows the heat on your thigh? |

Those are crazy headers! I like the way they're built, but going into a stock can?? What do you mean? Those are stock headers. And the 'stock can' is what came on the bike that had those headers on them. It's not a stock XB can, which might give you a hint. It ain't mine, so you'd have to ask the owner about the thigh heat. Even though I noticed it right away, sometimes one needs to slow down in order to see exactly what they are looking at... Slowing down and looking at it, what do you see? |

High XBRR content? |

High XBRR content? Correct! XBRR engine (and obviously exhaust) in a Firebolt. I guess the fact that it gets overlooked proves the job was well done - as it was. |

How can you tell it's an XBRR engine (externally)? I only see different pushrod covers? |

How can you tell it's an XBRR engine (externally)? Stator resides in primary cover, necessitating a unique primary cover, Pegasus below each cylinders pushrods. Two 'in your face' identifiers... Good resource |

That thread says the cases are magnesium. I thought that Buell was able to follow the AMA class rule that the cases could only be modified stock items by melting stock cases and re-casting. Which would make them aluminum, but maybe that was just talk in a magazine. |
