Wow. Motoamerica is slim pickins. Not very compelling racing at all. The 600s is a joke. JD Beach then a bunch of no names. Superbike is a little better and has some potential with everyone trying to beat Elias. We will see.
Hayden Gillim is no joke and Nick McFadden has developed well in the 600 classes and is one of the next generation of riders. ValentinnDebise has been out with a concussion and fractured disc and Cory West is riding the Suzuki for Team Hammer. Ashton Yates is the first to podium in 2 different classes in a long time and Anthony Mazzioto are 2 of the KTM cup riders that have moved up and can be contenders. Braeden Ortt and Daytona Anderson will both podium this year as well. Lots of excitement in the 600 Supersport group. See you at the races! Tim
Heading to VIR for thie round this weekend! Max should be riding as his damaged finger is healing well. Helps to be young! Have new electronics for him to sort out. See you there! Tim
Hand bothering him so Max only qualified 15th. Trying to get him more comfortable with bike for the race. Electronics seem right, playing with suspension! Race at 3:30! Tim
Had a good race saturday and gifted 10th after the mayhem early. Started good sunday but an equipment failure (left boot came undone-WTF) and Max had to pull in to fix it droppied him to 14th. 3 more weeks of recovery time and Road America Jun 1. Come to the races!! Tim
After the shenanigins at RA, I can't wait for Laguna Seca in three weeks time!
Time for Elias to get retribution on Camereon "I'm Mr. Innocent" Beaubier.
Herrin will be the wild card. He's got his Yamaha on rails and the lack of HP won't be a difference maker at Laguna. It's a riders track. I was very impressed with his riding at RA. Not sure he's ever been better.
Heading to Road America this weekend for AHRMA Racing for the Rockerbox Fest. Ill be on my 12B Buell Xb12R Firebolt. Walt Sipp will be joining me as well with his Buell XB, XBRR and 1125RR. Mark White will be there with his EBR 1190RS Tim Stewart on a 1125r. Come on out and say hello!
Elias needs to watch ALL the tape from the RA races!! Turn one with Beaubier and Elias come to mind. I saw Suzuki's formal press release, so yeah, it ain't over, for sure!!
I will also be at RA this weekend with my buds that race those bikes from the countries whose language I don't understand! I'll find you Buell and EBR guys!
Not as bad as I originally thought. Tony was backing it in and that contact probably wouldn't have caused the crash it he wasn't sliding into the corner. I will change my opinion to racing incident.
The Day After...The Day After... Just got back from Laguna Seca for the WSB/MotoAmerica round there and had a great time. Bumped into Rob Weaver and Stacy, and Steve Slaughter and Sunny by the Pirelli Tire center in the pits. Wearing my Buell shirts while walking around met a few still very passionate Buellers. In Ducati Island someone walks by me and yells out "Now that's a proper motorcycle shirt"!
Talked with Bill ( I hope I got that right ) from down south, for a long time while a Uly owner interrupted us just to say HI.
Saw Smoke and crew, and kept trying to say hi to Cory West but he was duing time announcing and was never in the pits when I was there. I hope the crew told him some dumb guy with a Buell shirt was here and bought a shirt from us too. Dang it Cory, I was rootin for ya!
I think it was better than last year in the Market Place and even bought a couple Galfer rotors for $225 each for my bikes in the future.
Three laps on the fan laps with one real blitz down the front straight through turn one, and a couple of decent double apex turn two corners without screwing up like Tony. All good fun!!
