Not mine but near me on Craigslist at $1500! Looks like it is an S2T, Advertised as a 1997 S3T. Needs a lot of TLC and all new body panels. Also has a chain conversion. https://philadelphia.craigslist.org/mcy/d/buell-th underbolt-s3/6554393671.html |

Michael, That's an early 1995 S2 (speedo cable held to front fender by 2 clips, plus white frame and white Marchesini wheels). I'd grab that in a second for that price....go offer him $1,200 fast! |

Really wish I could Andrew, but my garage is full. Just posting it up for anybody that’s looking because it seemed like a great price for someone to rescue it. |

Hmm. Emailed. Dead ringer for my just-totaled #1365. Anyone put eyes on this in person? |

I could, it’s not that far from me. I am not familiar at all with the S2 though. (Message edited by Newmans3 on May 19, 2018) |

I'll cross post this in the S2 section, but I emailed the guy and he said the VIN ended in 3353. I didn't think that was possible on a '95, since they only built 1399? Anyone know? |

I appreciate everyone's input. I talked to the seller Scott - nice guy, knows bikes, knows Buells, respects Erik and his bikes, doesn't want to sell it to a "meatball". Verified it's a 1B9RT bike, 10/94 build sticker, just about every body panel is damaged. Bought it from an older dude who had to quit riding because gravity is a bitch. Runs good, appears to have a stock engine, seems "correct" to him. He noted the chain conversion, the aftermarket pipe, the lowers, the bags...seems to be a straight shooter. I was out cutting grass today - three times, with all the rain we had I had to do it in stages - and had some time to think about this. I think I'm going to have to pass. I have too many bikes now. Too many projects in general - a rental apartment that's not done, a 72 Plymouth Satellite, an 89 Shelby CSX, my 98 Defender...and with a basically net-zero $ from the totaled S2 and medical deductibles, I just can't see a justification to add another project to the "incomplete" list. Anyone looking for a legit S2 project, this is a good candidate. Someone should save it. I'll make sure Scott has my info just in case, but I just can't see spending that much money to add another project to The List. And I'll certainly have plenty of nice S2 parts for sale here soon to help whoever's building it. |

If you get a hold of him and still need eyes on it, let me know, it's about an hour and a half from me. |

He's been good at responding to me through the craigslist email link; just go to the ad and shoot him a message, you'll hear back from him by dinnertime. Good luck - hope someone keeps it together, and out of the "chopper" scene!! |

That and an S1 I got to demo ride at my harley dealer in 97. What a freaking blast. WE had a new highway built around the city that had little traffic on it so far and so I really got to hot rod those bikes and almost died! (Message edited by victory on May 21, 2018) |
