Hi, I picked up some foam grip covers and was about to slide them on when I saw that the bar ends and throttle lock are in the way. Anyone know how to remove them? Thanks |

I called twistedthrottle.com and the rep was nice enough to tell me to loosen the end bolts to about an eighth of an inch and then tap them with the end of a plastic screw driver or something as to not strip the threads. He also mentioned not loosening the bolt all the way to avoid having to lean the bike over to get the nut to fall out of the handle bars. Also, for those thinking of covering your heated grips. These fit nice: Grab On Grips Grip Cover - Fits From 1.25in. to 1.45in. OD - 5in.L, Color: Black MC402 I almost cut them cause they seemed too long but after slipping them on they were just right. |

I use the grab ons or grip puppies on the Uly and the KLR since I had a hand injury in 2011 and can't make a fist with my right hand. They work great with heated grips. I'm sure they are not for everybody as they increase the diameter of the grip a bit. That's why I use them. However if you have hand issues they are worth a try. Good tip on the Kaoko throttle lock Fernus! |
