H-D Dealers SUCK! Most all treat Buell as a POS. And...............they are! -- Corey B. James (cbjames@inextinc.com), February 16, 2004. http://www.greenspun.com/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg.tcl?msg_id=00AHiR |

-=snort=- It's so annoying to see people who know nothing purport to know everything. Maybe if they did a little searching instead of going to the first place Google comes up with to get their information they'd get GOOD information. |

420 - down boy if you re-read, you'd realize that Darthane is shooting at someone else, and that he's referring to Badweb as the place to get the good info. Get it? Henrik |

One previous post removed - and no, it was not from 420. Name calling is not considered appropriate behavior on Badweb etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. ad nausium. Please play nice - go for a ride - breathe deeply - serenity now ... you get the picture. Henrik |

From the link... "I have a 2001 Buell M2 Cyclone, which started out great, lot's of fun, but now, it's blowing oil, leaking oil, leaving oil all over me and the bike from the transmission vent tube which runs from the area near the starter motor and runs up under the seat. I checked with the dealer as nothing is on the end of the vent tube, no screen, no valve, nothing. They said this is normal and sure enough the brand new 2003 Buell Lightening they had on the show room floor has the same open vent tube from the transmission. I also have oil coming from the air intake box which they also say is normal at high RPM. They asked why do you want to go so fast, and I asked I them is 80 to 85 mph (3700 to 4000rpm)fast? Anyway be aware, until they change from the old basic engine / transmission design carry lots of rags! -- Grant Brummett (grant.brummett@novellus.com), April 28, 2003." I guess if you change your tranny fluid when you're supposed to, the water won't have a chance to build up and blow oil all over you. |

LOL...well, as I said before, if the people would just come to the right place for the info. It seems like all the people that have no idea what they've got in their Buells populate every little mom and pop's BBS, while those in the know have three choices. No, 420, I wasn't referring to you, just the majority of people who post about Buells but not on BadWeb. It seems to me that they fall into two categories - they've never owned a Buell or if they did they didn't bother to find anything useful about the bike out before buying and were thus disappointed that it wouldn't do 180mph or make 140HP at 14,000RPMs. |
