Unpaid for, Unsolicited Unannouncement... Koz5150 and his Dad were exhibitors at the Appleton HD/BMC Open House. They showed their show bike with all of it's sandblasted engraving on it and it was truly a knock out. Ultra fine detail and now colored fill including 24Kt. Gold. So if you are looking for some custom graphics on your bike, contact Koz5150 on the BWB. Also, if you are wondering how to make your son grow up to be at least 12 inches taller than you are, contact Koz's Dad. He is a great guy with a great son! |

Dave, Great event! I was blown away by the number of folks that showed up. Must have taken 50 herds of cows for all that leather! It was hard finding all the Buellers! Maybe next year have a "Buell Pen" set up for us 3%'s, kind of put all the Buells in one spot. Erik is a very neat guy, I'm very glad to finally meet him in person. Thanks Trish for taking the time to indulge a bunch of fanatical Buellers. Erik, Very huge thanks for the special t-shirt signing. I'm sure Lou will appreciate it when the pain med haze wears off. I look forward to seeing you again when you're "wing" is healed. It was a cold ride from Minneapolis, it was around 30 when we left. Much better on the way home, but still cool. We didn't hit rain until we got back into town. Not much, just enough to get damp. Didn't even stop for rain gear. In all around 620 mile or so. All in all, a great day! Brad

Appleton HD/Buell is a nice place, and there were tons of people there !! Thanks mikej for leading me back to Milwaukee, didn't seem so hard at all !! CJ edited by cj xb on May 16, 2004 |

Dave, Had a good ride there and back, really impressed with your new shop. They will soon realize they let the genie out of the bottle. Was a real pleasure meeting Penny and Bobbie, I hope they have warm temps, clear skies and no cops for their trip back to Waterloo. Erik and Tish, visiting with the two of you was an unexpected pleasure. Thank you for allowing us to share in Erik's enthusiasm (Just talking to Erik after getting that call from Mike Cicotto was worth the trip). Hoban Bros, really enjoyed meeting Jeff and John and being able to ogle your race bike. Hope you have a great season. BoomerM2 & Gearhead, had a great time guys, glad you let me tag along (again). That road from Dubuque to Sabula is 45 miles of fun when you can see it. We'll have to make a point of doing a Luxembourg to Sabula run some day. (Sabula is Iowa's only island city I learned today).

Well, I pulled into the dealership at 7:25 am and the bank clock said 39F. Dave said I was the first Buell there, but I did have a booth also so I had to be there early to set up. I met ALOT of bad weather guys for the 10 hours I was there. They even let Dave off of work before I got to leave I think. Thanks to all who stopped by and all the great bikes they brought. I will be stealing a few ideas (specially that catch can placement). |

Thanks Daves for everything. Somehow I have no doubt you'll do great there. Funny how things work out sometimes. We stopped for gas in Kiel as DaveGess rode in and topped off. A Buell employee was filling up when we pulled up to the pumps, I'm pretty certain it was the same guy I met up with in Oconomowoc a year or two ago on the way to SlimeyCrud. Crossing paths again and again. Didn't see Brad/BluzM2 or Koz or Bill/Outrider, but did see Bomber on his way out. And if you want to smile just ask Jerry/Blastin about the thumbprint on his jacket, right in tune with a great sense of humor from the guy who brought us all these smiles. And CJ, no problem. I just kind of generally wander and usually get someplace eventually. And it was nice to ride up with the T_Dad crew. Thanks for meeting me at the rummage, the indirect relatives got a kick out of seeing that many Buells parked at the end of their driveway. And thanks again Daves. Probably see you again in June or July up there. ps, Bomber, the ThrottleMeister worked great. I just have to work on setting it more smoothly now. The people behind me probably thought I was running out of gas rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Bomber, Always good to see you. You are in the doghouse for leaving before Penny got here though. Again, Thanks to all of you that took the time to come see me at my new digs. I think we all made quite an impression. Next year we need to have a meeting time for a group photo. With everyone coming and going at different times this year it was like trying to round up frogs in a mud puddle. I'm going to try, really try to get a Buell parking area next year too. Wish me luck. I am sorry I was so busy and didn't get much time to hang out with most of you. By next year I'll be more established and will be able to spend more time with you all. Ride to the edge! Dave |

DaveS - Great to see you! Ralph and I are ready to come up again sometime. I wish we had a couple days to see the area, but of course, we had to get back. Hope Penny and Bobbie can dodge the raindrops on the way back. Thank you Erik and Trish for coming up. It was great to meet you both. Koz - The can works great back there. I drained couple ounces of goo out of it when I got back. Easyflier - Anytime you want to ride, let me know. I really enjoy riding with you and Gearhead. All in all, it was a wonderful trip. I had a little over 620 miles for the two days and temperatures from 34 to 75 degrees. What a great ride. Mike

Daves et al. Erik again, and I just wanted to thank everyone for coming by to say Hi. I know I was (still am) a little under the weather, and I had to leave sooner than I woulda liked to, but it sure was fun to hang out for a while. Jeff Johnson did a great job too, really nice to all the kids who were coming by with big eyes for the racer. It was really neat. |

DaveS, Wish I could have stayed a bit longer and shot the breeze a little more with everyone. I had a good time, as I always do with fellow Buellers. Erik, Thank you for giving us your valuable time. You are a truly a gentleman and have such a great outlook on life. I enjoyed listening to you and fellow Buellers talk music and guitars and amps. It was a trip. Thanks for your signature and thumb print, it makes for great conversation and makes me proud. Heal fast and we'll see you in a few weeks. Jerry AKA "Blastin" |

I had a great time. I got a few pics (nothing too exciting)and might need help with people's names. Great to meet people you chat with here, great to meet Dave S at last. What a great turnout of Buellers in general. A group photo would have been nice but I don't think I ever saw more than 2-3 together at one time I was happy to park in with all the other bikes. No need in my mind to set up a special area, we are Buellers not VIP's Dave

Has anyone found their pic on the partypics.com web site yet? There's one of an XB-R doing a wheelie, and several other Buells photographed. Password is hdappleton if you didn't get a card from the gals with the camera. The pages are very slow to load at times though, and only one flash pic so far in case you're viewing them from work. |

People pics, you're on page 16 and 17, DaveGess is down around page 33, I haven't found the ones of us leaving yet (probably somewhere between page 34 and 9000). Geez John, you beat me by 13 pages, guess I'm going to have to get a new set of tires to keep up this summer. |

I'm not worried about it, just funny to see yourself sometimes. Maybe I should have done a wheelie for the photogals. It was a good day though and a very nice event. Somehow I totally missed the dyno shootout stuff though. |

If you look on page 57 pic 0126 there is a pic of my dad on the mini chopper. It is powered by a weed eater motor. I took it for a ride later that day. It was pretty funny. Ayway, we had to park our trailer about a mile up the highway. My dad hopped on the mini chopper and drove it right down the highway with all the other bikes. And people wonder why I am like I am..... |
