Need some help with getting the suspension set. So, to start I'm a big guy: 6'4" 280 plus add my gear. Most roads where I live are very bumpy. I've followed the recommended settings and then I've continued to gradually adjust compression and rebound harder. Then I adjusted the preload even harder. That's what I've done. Here's the problem: In a turn, left or right, I hit a bump and the front wobbles (left to right) which changes my line in the turn. I have very little confidence in the front. Lastly, does the Traction Control also help in wheelie situations? |

If your suspension adjustments are nearing maxed at your headed up weight. It’s time to up your weight. Fork oil that is. And might as well get springs for your weight as well. All inexpensive if you can do it yourself. I found adding an ohlins adjustable steering damper was easy and solved the same problem for me. |

Your suspension could also be bottoming out. You can put a zip tie on the fork tube, go for a ride and see where the max travel is. Traction control during a wheelie!?! Well? There’s nothing that turns it off during a wheelie so.... yes? But man if you need it......!!!! Since you are 280lbs and wheelieing a 390lb bike, invest in a big box of steering neck bearings!!! |

Well, palm to forehead! My air pressure was very low. That fixed the problem. I still probably need to change the fork oil at the very least. I don't ride wheelies'. I'm asking about a power wheelie. Does the traction control have any affect on it. |

The tires on the EBR seem to lose pressure a lot faster than any other Buell I've had. |

Terry are you still running the original tire? I noticed the same with the stock tires, but my Angel GTs were still holding about the same amount as last fall. Regarding the wheelie - You can still wheelie with TC on, but it is harder to do. The higher TC settings are more aggressive with how they intervene but I've brought the front up without using the clutch no problem with it set to level 5. |

Set the TC to 20 and it won’t wheelie. |

Good on you for figuring out your wobble issue. Have you measured the suspension sag front and rear with you on the bike? Unfortunately with your weight you are at the upper limit of the stock suspension adjustment range. As your confidence increases and you ride faster and corner quicker you may benefit from changing the springs if your sag is not in the proper range. The suspension will also work better for you if sprung for your weight, it will also make the suspension adjustable again. |

Thank you all for your insight. The bike is amazing and now that I've added air it definitely is on rails even on bumpy roads. I've have 2 upcoming track days 1 at Buttonwillow on Memorial Day and 1 at Thunderhill June 10th. I'll seek assistance from the suspension tech at Buttonwillow that'll be there with adjusting the sag. |

If your SX has the red spring shock and you want the stiffer yellow RX shock, I am up for a trade. The bike is a little tall for me. |

I swapped the yellow coil to red coil on the back of my 2014 and the difference in sag was unmeasurable. |

With both having lowest setting on preload? The red spring would look better on my red rx though.. |
