I've got this engine I pulled apart due to a bad transmission. Don't really know what it's worth, but I want it off my workbench. Make offers on what you're interested in. https://artbartlett.smugmug.com/For-sale/i-SpS62xS https://artbartlett.smugmug.com/For-sale/i-V3HcGX9 https://artbartlett.smugmug.com/For-sale/i-v8Kjdx9 |

I am interested in all top-end parts and the cams and lifters. No need for clutch/trans/primary parts Can you give me a price and a summary of any known defects/history. OK to call @ 805 798-3573 or email at ggoris93023@gmail.com Thanks Gregg |

I don't see it in any of the pictures, but do you have the short part of the shift linkage, the one that clamps onto the shift shaft where it comes out of the primary? #1 in the picture

All top end parts are sold, no injectors, or cam sensors. What's left is the cases, flywheel/crank assembly, cam cover, ignition sensor, oil pump, and primary gearing. |

Interested in the primary gearing if still available and shipping to BC Canada isn't an issue. |

I know the 2003s came with the normal steel oil pump gear. Any chance yours had been updated to the bronze version at some point? I'd be interested in it if it has. |

Wait...you say "no cam sensors" but then say you have the ignition sensor. I'm confused. |

I guess I misspoke. I'm looking for the plate that goes on the end of the cam, that you can advance or retard for ignition timing. I called that a "cam sensor" because to my knowledge that was the only sensor on a cam, in one of these bikes. |

Rat, I considered this the ignition sensor, because in the early days, my sportster had points in there, then in the later years, it was a sensor in the same location that triggered for the ignition. when you spoke of cam sensor, I immediately thought of my Hardley, which does have a cam sensor, and I 'think' the '08 and newer Buells also have a cam sensor. If that ignition plate is what you need, then I do have one. I do not have the cup that bolts to the end of the cam to trigger it though... Greg_m, I thought I had replied to your PM maiden, looking at the pic, the pump does NOT have the bronze gear |

Nope, just need the sensor. I have an M2 that's got a hard-start situation and looking to swap sensors to try and cure. AFAIK a tuber and a pre-08 XB use the same sensor. I also believe that yes, an '08-up XB will have a "cam sensor" since that is what triggers the ignition once they ditched the "nosecone" setup like the tubers and early XBs. Different sensor, different location...same job |
