Found cracks in my belt so replacing it. about 30k miles on the bike. Front sprocket has developed some surface rust from sitting in garage all winter. Is that a problem? Do I need to replace sprocket or just brush off the rust.

If replacing, do i need the special tool to hold the sprocket or is there a workaround?

Thanks guys.

Just clean off the rust and give it a fresh coat of paint.

The rears are chromed on the pulley face.
I don't think there is damn thing on the fronts other than rust.
It's covered up afterall.
