Bob, Randy, I'd love to put together a Friday ride if anybody wants it. We'd do some great Oregon back roads that are totally secret and you'd have to swear on a Buell manual not to divulge their location. Could meet and end at Woodland or meet elsewhere if desired. Maybe that would keep half the Californicators from taking off without riding Splash cuz they were bored sitting at Woodland. | ||

the group that left Woodland "early" on Friday last year -- Snail and his friends -- arrived at Horseshoe Lake Park at the "appointed" time as best i knew it, and finally decided they had a long ways to go and weren't getting any closer just sitting there. the timing of it all was my fault, and i apologize. I'm up for any Friday activity, Just let me know. I'm headed for the redwood run in june and it will be real hard not to head off the highway at woodland. Been studying the map down the cali way and cant wait to catch some of the roads I missed last time i rode through there. I found an awesome road but can't tell if it is paved or dirt. | ||

hi Bob-Deb, would love to come up, last year was a lot of fun, but i've got a big ride planned in September that has used up most of my riding "budget" for this season. me 'n D flew over the volcano in a 727 yesterday afternoon -- we looked real hard but didn't see any Buells (or Triumphs) carving the corners... | ||

Yikes! SPLASH is the weekend before my 1st wedding anniversary. Plus, our first child will be all of 2 months old. As much as I'd love to strap him in a Baby Bjorn, cap him in a cute little skullbucket & goggles, and all 3 of us ride down together, attendance at this event will need to be cleared with "she-who-must-be-obeyed." Maybe mother & child can drive down separately; do any babies/kids show up at SPLASH events? | ||

Buellkowski, SPLASH is and always has been a family event. there'll be a BBQ and boat rides at Horseshoe Lake Park in Woodland on Friday, and it sounds like the troops have a fun shindig planned for Saturday night in Packwood. Hotel Reservations! I just booked a couple of rooms at the Lakeside Motel in Woodland for the Friday night, July 16th. and was informed that very few SPLASH participants have booked. She was wondering and waiting for our bookings. They love us! I was also told that other parties have been inquiring about booking that weekend. If you havn't booked your room at the Lakeside Motel and are concidering it, do it now, before she books another group. Be sure to call Packwood and get your reservations, I called and they are booking up fast, when I called she said they were all booked up, so make sure you tell her you are with the group that has the hotel reserved for July 17th so she will get you squared away. Kimberlie |
