It's not mine, but I wanted to point out that there's an aluminum swingarm on ebay for $50 and $20 shipping that ends in 12 hours and has 0 bids on it. It includes the mounting block, axle, axle blocks, and updated isolators. I can't tell if the axle adjusters are there, but I'm assuming they probably are. Too good of a deal to let slide by if you're thinking about replacing your steel swingarm. I just replaced mine otherwise I would've bid and hoped none of you guys saw it haha.

UTM,
I ran with your idea and now I have an aluminum swingarm on the way! No one else bid on it. How much of a PITA is it to swap out on my 95 S2?

Should be pretty easy, since the S2s have removable side plates. Getting the isolators out is the big job, but with an S2, they'll fall right out once you take the bolts out and the side plates off. Should just be a matter of taking off the swingarm and the mounting block, then reversing the process.

Note that the updated isolators will not fit on an S2 without grinding down part of the "ear" on the isolator.

That's awesome someone on here grabbed it, and no one else even bid on it! That was a serious deal. I've seen plenty of swingarms sell on eBay for over $100 with no axle or adjusters, not to mention the new isolators. I would've 100% grabbed it if I didn't already buy one for mine.

I just did the swap on my S1 last weekend. It wasn't too bad! Not sure how different the process is with the S2. If you research swingarm swaps, one is the more detailed threads was done on an S2. I tried finding it real quick but didn't come across it. It's a silver S2, he sandblasted flames onto the swingarm. believe his user name is aomy... something like that. My S1 isn't even back together and it already looks so much better.

It’s not really the ears that need to be ground down, it’s about 1/3 - 1/2” of rubber on the rear side of the isolator to accommodate the frame down tube. A bench grinder on the rubber worked good for me. You’ll see where you need to remove material when you try to put the isolators on and they bump the down tube and won’t line up with the holes on the block.
