So I picked up a bone stone 1996 S1 back in January. Finally got the bonded title so it’s good to roll this spring. No surprise that the letters on the tank are bubbling. Trying to decide on a few things. First not sure if I’ll keep or sell. But before then, leave the tank original or get it repainted? Thoughts? |

Leave it original. Pop the bubbles on the decals with a pin and try to smooth them out. |

And when it's in the garage, I flip the gas cap latch to "unlock" the cap. Lets it vent a little better/more while out of the weather. Garage may stink a bit more, but hey...maybe that helps keep mice out too? |

If its a flip leave it . If your keeping it leave it or do what you want. And what they said . |

If it were me, I would remove the decals and have the tank re-cleared. Then put the raised letter decals on it. Please let me know if you decide to sell the bike, I am somewhat local and have always wanted a 96 to go with my s1w |
