Banke style (I don’t see any markings on it that say Banke) shifter complete. The outer bushing has some scrapes on it that could probably be buffed out on a wheel. $185 shipped paypal friends/family.

Didn’t know there was a difference. Came off an M2 and seems to fit my s1w the same. (Message edited by Williamscottrobertson on March 01, 2018) |

Have the set(Banke shifter and brake setups) on my '00 X-1 Lightning. Sadly, i may have to sell the bike to help pay for my medical bills..don't really want to, but it's getting to look that way.Use her for my"work" when i'm riding with the CMA( Christian Motorcycle Association), hence to reluctance to sell, but if push comes to shove. Sorry to appear to sidestep this sale thread, just giving reference to the Banke shifter.May it sell for you.LT |

ebutch, love that color combo. That and the volcano grey and orange. There's a '99 S3 on Ebay with a broken front motor mount. what could be the worst case scenario for this problem. There is a photo of the break. Let me know what you think. nelsonvenice@gmail.com aka:thunderlust |

I saw that S3 as well. It’s been on eBay a few times with no buyers. He sold the bags separately on eBay a while back, that was a mistake IMO. Not sure why a mount would break like that, usually the bolt snaps off the cylinder head. I’m sure the rear isos are shot, maybe letting the engine flex? It will need the updates I’m sure (primary adj, oil pump gear, isos, shock, possible rocker gaskets). The good things going for it are it looks to be in good condition cosmetically and it he the carbon borla. I’d try to get it to your door under $3k if you were serious about it. He may not go that low. |

The S2 mount is stronger. One of the primary contributors to a broken mount is that the mounting bolt holes in the head may be too shallow. The bolt might bottom out and reach the required torque but not achieve appropriate clamp load on the mount. Inappropriate clamp load would permit the bolt to flex and it would fracture. Often the mount would soon break on the mount leg supported by the remaining bolt. Another failure caused by shallow bolt holes is a fracture on the head casting - originating at the right side bolt hole. The bolt would bottom and try to "spread" the hole - causing the fracture. If the mount is removed, its important to confirm that the bolts are not bottoming out - especially if swapping mounts due to previous failures. |

Hey Bros. Thanks for the valued guidance. Ebutch I'm taking your lead and offering $1800. See how he responds. The broken bolt in the head will be a PITA and my bargaining chip. If the deal goes through I'll be looking for an S2 mount. Probably Rtill has one. |

Yes! I have the two other issues that screamer lent me. I’ll try to get them scanned in the morning. I like to do it outside in natural light. We haven’t been getting much of that this week. |
