Changing the seals on my 06 and upgrading to the 07+ springs and I've run into an issue. The fork seal and dust seal seem to be huge! I'm talking 1/4" or more gap between the seals and the legs. Almost like these are for 49mm tubes or something. I understand they compress a bit when driven home but this seems a bit extreme. I've never done uly seals before but have done them on half a dozen other bikes and never seen anything like this? I got the parts from lance and the numbers mostly agree with my 06 parts book, the last couple letters are different, but i assume these are just the latest revisions? Any one who's done the job have an insight for me? |

Tracked down the numbers, looks like these seals are for the late uly,...lance is gonna figure it out for me in the morning. At least its still below freezing... |

That's what it sounded like to me. Lance should be able to fix it for you. The later years had bigger forks even though the tops in the triple trees is the same diameter. Hence the reason I have 06 forks in 08 trees. |

I once had an issue getting seals from All Balls. The ones in the kit didn't fit when my mechanic tried installing them. Seems the part numbers get mixed up frequently. |
