My 2006 Ulysses has 37,000 miles. I just replaced plugs, wires, ignition coil, rear tire and did a TPS reset. Now the bike will stall at a stop. Not all the time just often. The bike will stall when between 20mph and 40mph. This doesn't happen all the time just often. Also when coming out of a steep slow corner it will stall. The engine light comes on but then goes off. No codes are left behind. Anyone have simular issues? Answers? |

Did you replace the above because of the stall issue or from what I'm reading the stall at the light started after plugs, wires and coil were replaced. |

When coming out of the steep corner is it banking and stalling leaning right or left or both. |

Did the work for just normal maintenance. The issue is new after the changes. The stall issue happens when backing on the right side. |

I would replace the plugs just in case one is crack. Then the coil with the old one. last the wires. Never assume your work or the new part is good until you test it. A drop plug by a parts guy could mask a crack |

Other question how soon after part change did trouble develop |

I pulled codes and I get a 21, Active Muffler Control. I read about disabling it. Is that a thing? I'll look into the plugs. The old ignition coil is completely bad. |

I tested the AMC using ECMSpy. I can watch it activate completely. I also ran through the rest of the tests and everything looks/sounds fine. I reset the TPS again and the bike idles great. I ride it up the street and the thing dies /stalls/hiccups twice with the error light coming on for a while. I check for error codes and nothing using ECMSpy. I watched a video on intake seal testing with brake cleaner. Spraying brake cleaner on the seals didn't seem to effect anything. I can ride on the freeway for miles without a problem. It's in the 15mph to 40mph range that I get the issue. |

Also you can rule out the plugs and wires But the color of the plugs when pulled is good to know. How old is the O2 sensor? |

It is the original O2 sensor. I have been thinking of replacing it after reading other posts. I'll look up the AFV value during lunch. Will this O2 sensor work? https://www.amazon.com/Walker-Products-932-11001-O xygen-Premium/dp/B01DTENOOM/ Thanks for the help (Message edited by Coarch on November 02, 2017) (Message edited by Coarch on November 02, 2017) |

What state is your bike. Do you have a evap canister. If not is the Evap black covering the 1/8 evap 90 deg elbow located on top forward upper area of throttle body.Im just making sure there aren't any other manifold leaks.you said intake leak seal test is good. |

From your number AFV 109 is in a acceptable range. Yes it is slow to change.this means your O2 is probably good |

Make sure battery terminals are clean and tight. Clean all grounds with scotch bright. |

I cleaned the intake valve and air sensor. I have a 2006 bike so no IAC unit to clean. Where do I check for ground wires and the like? I'll check those and battery terminals tomorrow. |

Evap port is capped. I've read about this on other posts. It sticks off of the intake. I have aftermarket front blinkers and I noticed one is out. I've used these fine for years without problem but since one is out I unplugged both just in case. I set AFV to 100 from 109. What is AFV? There appears to be no change in ride experience. The issue seems to happen at low speeds. I can make it happen by dipping the bike down to the right and jerking it back up. This will cause the engine light to come on. Since I changed the AFV the stalling seems to be much reduced. I'm going to look at the grounds tonight. |

Adaptive fuel value this is your ECM learning and adjusting fuel trims. After a ride it will stay at 100 or go up or go down. On our bike its LTFT Long term fuel trim. Your symptoms in my opinion maybe a leakng intake seal, seals or leaking throttle body shaft at the TPS. A leaking O2 sensor at the rear or cylinder #2.or small (exhaust leak least likely) a injector o ring seal. I would perform intake leak test. |

Still do clean your grounds, do wiggle test on wires with seat off , air box off and fly screen , also wiggle test fuel pump wires. |

Info from service manual/ a properly calibrated TPS sensor will indicate 3.7 to 4.2 degrees |
