I bust my ass all day, working for retirement. Check on me in a couple of years to see if I dropped dead the first week or retirement. Stress to me is driving the cage. Riding my Buell's (or sportster) puts a smile on my face and washes away most of the stress... |

Go out in the garage, put on Stevie Ray Vaughn, sip on a old barrio rojo beer and wrench on one of the Buells...What stress? |

Plus 1 million on stress!! I had alot and kept pushing it at work and more. I was then injured very badly. Thought it was all over. Took 3 years to heal and get another job in a field I had not done that job was also high stress but everything happens for a reason it led to this job I get paid well/very well and literally have zero stress!! I have so little stress and live a happier life and so does my wife!!! |

I check Badweb at morning break lunch, afternoon break, and before going home. and sometimes I even check before turning in for the night. I enjoy all the conversation on all the subjects, because I learn something from these members every time I come here. I'm long overdue for a donation to keep it going and one day soon guilt will overcome frugality enough to force me to cough up some dough for the operators of this forum. Is Badweb changing? Probably. Is Badweb dying? I doubt it. I hope not, as I've not yet met so many of you, but your collective knowledge experience and opinions, shared respectfully, make me smarter every day. Oh, and where would I go to read about Crusty's travels? |

The Rampant political ignorance blaring in most areas has pushed half of the owners away for years. This right here is the only time ive checked in in months. Ive met many great liberal (and many great not so liberal) Buell owners all over the country from SC to WI to WA who couldn't stand to hear the ignorance blasting out and quit years ago. Climate change is real, 34 out of 35 first world countries have universal healthcare and Cheeto Jeeebuz is a CROOK. (and it says something that Jebu"s" is a blocked swear word, here i spelled it ) OLd school is a great bunch but anytime I venture anywhere else I get turned off for months. |

Thanks for ruining my safe place Wiscokid. :-) I avoid much because of the noise. Don't get me wrong, having the noise areas is just peachy, I just don't partake and grind my teeth when the noise bleeds into my safe topics. ... I'm fragile. Is BadWeb dying? It sure has changed a lot since I joined in ... '98? DAve |

Perfect example there Wiscokid of what BadWeB is not. Your objection to political discussions here says all that needs to be heard. You lack basic manners, intellect, knowledge, and humility, while suffering a deeply-seated hatefulness, a real mean streak. It's easy to see why you might not be happy here. Many of the folks here are amazingly knowledgeable and articulate and thoughtful. I learn a lot from almost all of them, no matter their politics. Thinking that a cogent argument consists of making bold declarations or of sharing the revelation that America ain't like the rest of the developed world... just freaking amazing. |

Yep, Blake I'm completely wrong, I'll just walk away now. Long live the BadWeather Brain Trust (long running inside joke that isn't funny). Sorry Dave as I came back to this thread I did realize I brought strife into the one place that isn't such around here. |

Wiscokid You brought politics into a thread that had none! You are ignorant and hateful it shows in your post basically if we dont agree with you then you cant handle it. Stupid political baby that cries and throws a fit when she does not get her way. Thats whats weong with the world today!! Long live the free long live badweb!! |

I agree, there are definitely places of this forum I don't dare to venture. I'm very politically opinionated, but I come here for motorcycles and don't have any interest in intertwining the two. I check Old School and the classified regularly. I'm sure the XB/Blast/EBR sections are fine too, but I don't have any of those bikes so I'm never there unless a link in google takes me there when I'm searching for information. |

If someone says something disagreeable, can we address the thing they said, instead of bashing their character? ...can't we all just git along? For the record, Wisco, I share your politics, but it's easy enough to focus on the bikes here. |

I actually don't normally care for white frames, especially with the white bodywork. I didn't notice all the bikes had them until you mentioned it! I just think those few bikes are extremely well done, especially that first bike with the fancy paint job. I'm assuming there's so many nice bikes with white frames because the people who are planning on putting that kind of work and money into their bikes put in the effort to track down a white lightning to start with. My personal favorite is the molten orange/nuclear blue combination. Also a big fan of all black. |

I don't care for them much either. not sure why I bought one. if I do end up keeping it, I will most likely coat the frame nuke blue.my fav machine also has the molten orange/nuke blue. and ya, that frame does look badass w/ black plastics. as soon as I figure out how to resize my pics, ill post some. |

Thank you, Upthemaiden! Where's the last picture from? Do we know if it's one person's collection or a buell meetup of some sort? Looks like fun |

That top black and white paint job is one of the best paint layouts I think I have seen on an S1. Really makes the lines look small. |

No clue where the last picture is from. I just have a whole giant folder of S1's that I always save them I think they look really nice, or have some kind of special part. Those were some of the flashier ones. I agree, the paint job looks amazing. Mine is going to get repainted someday, but I'll never get it looking that good. |

Led, I almost bought a Corvette when I bought my EBR, but I wanted a C5, and they seem to have skyrocketed in value as of late, no doubt because of the huge price jump on the C7s compared to the previous models. |

I read the Ulysses section, Old School, the classifieds and pop into the Quick Board section every once in a while for entertainment. I think that this site is tapering down both due to the dwindling number of Buells still in existence and the political discussions tend to be so divisive that they drive people away. That's why nearly all sites have No Politics, No Religion, No Polarizing Topics rules. It's not my site, do what you want but I have seen things get kind of weird over in the Quick Board section with members leaving the site over pointless bickering about current events. Nearly every time I go out and stop somewhere I meet somebody who has a Buell that they don't ride, used to have a Buell, they thought about buying a Buell at one time or they comment about a Buell being something you don't see too often. Maybe we should try and keep members here and encourage people to ride them and keep the bikes on the road. |
