Hi Vincent, I assume you're asking because you have the Signature Series cover for this one. I've been tracking all the S2/S2T VINs I come across for a few years now, starting with the forum lists and then anything that comes up for sale on ebay or Craigslist, etc. This one hasn't shown up anywhere in recent years. BTW, how's your restoration coming along on your S2T, number #66 I believe? (I just finished restoration on S2T #241) |

Yes I do,purchased it on eBay. I assume the bike was murdered sometime before the signature plate was sold to me. Yes, #66 and it's coming along nicely. Moved a couple other metric bike projects in front of it, but it's moving right along now. Did you keep the paint OEM? |

Yes, the S2T came to me very original, and I even found matching Buell touch-up paint on eBay. All I did was fix turn signals with later Buell ones (but I have 4 OEM signals in a box on the shelf)

Good evening Tigerman, Thanks for your post about tracking S2 and S2T whereabouts by VIN. Here is an update on a couple I know about. 1995 S2 - 4MZRT11H4S3000654 - Is now deceased in it's Buell form. I just parted it out 1996 S2T - 4MZFT11H0T3000140 is deceased, I have a bare frame in my garage with no title. Will sell it cheap if anyone is looking. 1996 S2T - 4MZFT11H0T3000168 is in my possession and running, I rode it today. Been repainted similar to a Carribean Candy Blue color I'll let you know if I run across any others. Thanks, Rick |

Thanks Rick Updating my list. I believe Kevin Meath (kmbuell) is now keeping the official S2/S2T list and as I update mine, I'll make sure to forward changes to him |

William, I thought I saw #1193 for sale some time ago and it was black - is this the same bike? Did you buy it and repaint it? |

FWIW, '96 #49 is in a multi-year assembly process '95 #305 is undergoing maintenance, but is in solid though very used shape. '95 #307 is low miles and in great shape other than a dead battery. |

Tigermann, it was yellow jacket pearl when I picked it up but in rough shape. The front fairing had black accents on the sides and was cracked on one side. The factory data sheet shows yellow jacket pearl so that’s what I went back with. |

Hootowl (Jeff) – yes, had you down as a black Sapphire Pearl and looking for the signature series stuff. Ebutch (Edward) – you have the most beautiful S2’s on the planet – I show S2T # 37 as originally being quicksilver and being changed to red, I assume that’s you, but I also show a blue S2T #37 on a grey frame for sale in Iowa on eBay in 2016? How does your S2T have a white frame and aluminum side plates? Easy_rider (roger) – I have ’96 # 49 as yours, canyon red, was for sale in June 2010 (either it was yours and you didn’t sell it or that’s when you bought it), I had nothing on #307, I’ll add it to the list, I had #305 as a black sapphire pearl belonging to Michael P. Griffin, I assume it’s yours now? Thanks for the updates, we’re going to have to talk about the S2 registry soon, I’ll start a new thread, because I’m not getting what I want out of a “Registry” of remaining bikes, who owns what, etc. I understand there’s a lot of concern over privacy, VIN numbers, etc. (frankly, I don’t care who knows what bikes I own, but that’s me), but having a registry no one can access seems silly. I believe that tracking the early Buells (Battletwins, Westwinds, and S2/S2Ts), for as few as there are, would be critical to establishing remaining bikes, parts sourcing, ownership / value, and the comradery of fellow owners. If you haven’t figured it out, collecting these bikes is basically a sickness.....at least that’s what my wife says....and should be shared with like-minded crazy-people |

Andrew, I bought the BSP about 5 years back. Mike was the original owner. Two others had the bike before me. I bought the Canyon Red bike wrecked and partially disassembled in 2010. It will be Caribbean Blue if I ever finish it. Scratch #307. I started questioning the year and was surprised to see that it is a 95, but is #696. The color is Snap Red, bought in 2013 after someone pointed out it was for sale and relatively close to me. Yes, it is a sickness.... |
