I expect either of these would do admirably as a flashbang or more correctly bangflash.
I've not shot either of them yet but my guess is the .327 would be the more obnoxious of the two even with the velocity reduced due to the 1.87" barrel length.
I'm disappointed with the NRA scapegoating bump stocks. It sets a bad precedent for the gun banners like Feinstein that need not logic, facts, or figures but political support to push their agenda.
They've been around for seven years and reviewed by the ATF twice.
I was considering an upgrade in membership in light of the current anti-gun madness, but I guess I'll keep my money. Gun Owners of America seem like more reasonable sorts, but they're not yet a target of venomous rhetoric from Democrats, which suggests that while well intentioned, they aren't nearly as influential.
I have a suggestion. We'll give up the bump stock if we can have 3 round burst. Let's face it, full auto is fun! I just watched a video where they shot a bump stock AR15 against a M16 full auto. The time it took to empty the mag was almost the same. I was shocked at how fast the bump stock was. But as fun as it is it's not practical and getting expensive! So allow us to have a 3 round burst and we'll give up the bump stock. Deal?
I need more info. I have choices. Default is short AR. A crowd? .454 Casull. The dog makes different sounds depending on what is outside. Ya learn to pay attention. Could just need a .357 or .45 ACP.
A .454 is a great deer gun. For self defense it tends to kill people on the other side of your attacker. And a car. And a garage.
I should just make the perfect home defense weapon.
A belt fed 20 ga. Semi automatic Shotgun.
Although a replaceable box magazine would be better, for almost everyone, in The Imperial State of New York we are limited to 7 rounds per mag. But a belt is not a magazine. Until a judge so changes the language to suit his or her bias.
Seriously, a .454 is not ideal because of over penetration, high recoil which slows down follow up shots in case you missed, and high cost of ammo which makes practice expensive, and you don't want to skimp on practice. A miss with a .454 is a hazard to neighbors. So is a hit.
911: What is the nature of your emergency? Me: There are a lot of guys in body armor with automatic weapons laying around in my house. 911: Umm Me: Could you send the sheriff over?
That's 50 rounds of .454 .I flinched a few times.
As I said, choices and the AR is usually first choice. If you don't practice, you should stick to a ball bat.
.454 also shoots 45 Colt. That makes it quite versatile.
I've rapid fired fifty rounds of .454 out of a Taurus Raging Bull. It was a rental, we were firing a bunch of guns, and my friends were getting impatient. My hand stung and my ears hurt afterwards, but it was manageable in a gun that size.
45ACP is enough for me. +P+ could always be used should the need arise, and moon clips make for a fast reload.
This cut down A2 grip was a temporary fixture on another build. This is a permanent home. 20171013_081251 by Slick_Rick77, on Flickr
I've been without a pistol caliber carbine for some time, didn't have anything with M4 furniture, and had nothing with removable fixed sights front and rear. This is all those things and gets rid of some spare parts that would languish in a box forever.
It's a 10" barrel, 28-3/4" overall, and 25-1/2" collapsed.
My kid had interest in an SPR style, and happens to like the Spikes Snowflake lower...but I'm about sick of ARs at this point.
I don't think a VFG has any federal restrictions except on pistols. Fine on a SBR. I just looked it up.
NY doesn't allow Title II stuff at all. So it's theoretical for me until I move.
California may restrict breathing soon ( global warming ) but that doesn't apply. Yet.
I do wonder which state, CA or NY, has the most quietly non compliant population on these matters. Not Title II, that's very tiny, but more recent arbitrary unconstitutional rules.
I bet that very few hunters break the Condor law about lead hunting bullets. I know no one who breaks the Title II restrictions in NY, but I know the gangs downtown have full auto weapons, having heard them in use. A coworker has witnessed such use. ( during the never mentioned by the press war & replacement of the Puerto Rican gangs by the Jamaican gangs for drug sales back in the late '90's. ) Since then all the drive by murders ( averaging about one a day for years, but less now ) have been non-machine gun shootings.
LA is a whole different story. Different demographics & they still have those ship loads of Chicom Type 56 rifles imported by the People's Republic Army during the Clinton administration in thanks for upgrading their ICBM & orbital launch capabilities.
To this day I wonder if this was a precursor to Fast & Furious. I'll have to ask Bill if I see him in hell. He sure won't tell while he's alive.
No bump stock...just the regular deadly collapsible stealth sniper stock.
No, I saw it on TV. Looked just like that. Turns a bolt action rifle into a laser capable of killing entire cities. Or something. They were a little vague on the actual operation of the EVIL BUMP STOCK, like they had no clue what end of a barrel the bullet comes out of, But They Were Certain their animation an EVIL BUMP STOCK was A WARNING about the NRA eating your children in dark rituals. Or is that the fat rapist's new Movie?
In any case, that's what was on TV.
If I was as ignorant as they think we all are, That's what I'd say, without the rudeness to the Rapist. I'm overweight too. I not a rapist though. Even though I registered Democrat and it's ok to rape women now.
I don't play that game, but believe it or not the concept is viable, since you can get repeated pulsed laser beams with more power output than continuous beams with less power input, and heating. So a Gatling Laser is under development today, although as an anti-missile system for vehicles, not a carry around like Jesse Ventura gimmick. ( Loved that Movie )
I bet CNN would do a segment on one If I claimed it was the next big thing the NRA want's to protect private ownership of. I should make one.
The other day I heard it said by some talking head that a bump stock turns a dangerous assault weapon into a weapon of mass destruction. Their imagination for their various machinations is endless.
You'd have to be a blooming idiot to believe most of it...but there appears to be no shortage of the type.
