That was a good read. Thanks for sharing. Just a damned shame this seems to confirm there won't be any new EBR motorcycles in the future. |

Thank you Erik for the motorcycles. Still riding my most favorite RS1200, and S3s. All our best to you and yours. (Message edited by 89rs1200 on October 10, 2017) |

Great article. He and Mike Rowe need to get together. Maybe they could straighten out some of the morons running our educational system. |

Great article! This is exactly why so many many of us are fanboys of Erik Buell. Not just for the great motorcycles he built, but because he is such a genuine and great man! |

Good read & spot on. Wow Hugh, I immediately thought the same. You know who else values trade skills and had voiced concern over schools abandoning shop classes? Shelina Moreda - I suggested she team up with MikeRoweWorks and she was game with it. I was at a loss though on how to make intros lol. Maybe now that she's a "Covergirl". Imagine the 3 of them collaborating. DAve |

I posted a link to the article on Mike Rowe's FB page, and it was approved, so maybe Mike'll see it. |

For interesting reading on the value of work, try Matthew B. Crawford's "Shop Class As Soulcraft: an Inquiry into the Value of Work, and "The World Beyond Your Head: Becoming an Individual in an Age of Distraction". Crawford presents thoughtful, articulate social criticism, well-researched and written in an accessible and often amusing style. He is also a motorcycle mechanic and rider. Both books are inspiring and will flex your head. |
