So a long story short . Let my bike sit toooo long. Good intentions Went left due to family and moving and Getting remarried. Finally got back to it . Started it , Tapping like scary crazy. Oil jug filled Up above the 2 qrts I put in. Lay on the input please , Mark |

All the oil drained back and down. Pull the spark plugs and do several short cranks to get the oil moving it may take awhile. Hopefully your seals are not dried up etc |

You may have to grit your teeth and listen to it rap until the lifters pump back up with oil. Been there, done that - will be doing it again soon. Good news is you didn't kill it. |

I agree with popping out the spark plugs and cranking it over. Smell the oil for fuel contamination too just in case the petcock leaked. |

Thanks fellas . I had the plugs out for about 2 weeks before starting it. Sprayed penitraiting lube in the heads every other day before I started it just to be safe . A little more time won't kill me Mark |
