Well, maybe infamous would be more like it...Hey, I remember when you took that pic outside of Skip's II...Wasn't that the evening that that guy showed up on an orange M2 with an S3 fairing that we have never seen since?...We probably all should have taken our monthly baths before the meeting... John and Dee and I went to a crawfish boil in Defiance a few weeks ago...We did not think of you, though... So, how are things in the deep south?...Have you learned to like grits and sweet tea yet?...DAve, we've this young guy who rides with us name of Elliot...He's from South Carolina...We were at a BBQ joint and all the gals working there were very cute...As the meal wore on Elliot came alive sparking with the waitresses...Alma was sitting across from me and watching the whole thing go down...Once outside she turned to me and commented that had I noticed that Elliot's southern drawl just kept getting deeper and deeper as the meal went on and I had to laugh because I had made exactly the same observation...By that time it was dark and that was when we all noticed that since the Gap trip last summer Alma had installed a few neons on her SV...Very trick and tasteful as it was not overdone... Hope all is well with you...Mais non? Bob |

What's up fellow SLABers? JOhn selling/sold the Beast? Kev' relocating and selling that S2? Me? Still in Bossier but now looking for another Job. ... and had a slight altercation with a glass mixing bowl Sunday that warranted 21 stitches and no cycling for a bit. My S3 is gone, my S1 is going (maybe), the RS is in pieces with no road eta (need a new right fork leg). The new one hopefully will be here in 6-8 weeks. |

Josh, Bob knew nothing until I drove up last night with it in the back of the truck. I was going to wait and just show up on it today but I could not wait to hear what he would say when he found out. I thought he was going to have to sit down for a while when he saw it. All he could do was walk around the back of the truck and look and say "its beautiful, its beautiful!" He finally got up in the bed so he could sit on the bike. We rode a few miles today. I just got back home. Bob rode "Ol Blue" for a few miles. I think he likes it. I am breaking it in. I only took it up to 150 once. It does not have that wheel lifting problem the "Beast" had but it just keeps going, and going and going faster. Things happen quick above about 4K rpm. By the way, thanks for the lead. Aaron and his crew at Maxx Pitts are very good folks. Gota go change the oil and filter now......... |
