What to do... what to do? My XB12 has killer bottom end with the power valve. But, I want sound too. I've done a good bit of poking around and Dyno reviewing only to find a loss on the bottom end from everything. I'm new to this forum so forgive me if I'm touching on an old subject. But help! I want A nasty note coupled with my 5mph wheelie!!

I have a 12s with a D&D with the sound I dont even mis the little bit of lowend that was lost, the mid gain and the sound makes up for all the losses

torqer, you must have not reviewed the drummer. i have run the stock can, and the drummer back to back, and i can tell you for certain that you will NOT loose any torque. the "valve" is an Emissions Valve. it makes the bike vewy vewy quiet at 3400 rpm, to keep the noise nazis happy.
top gear roll on next to a ninja 1000R, drummer equipped XB12 walked away. 60 to 100 i was a bike length ahead. immediately after i was watching his tailight rapidly fading into the distance. he can run 180 mph, but i get 55 mpg, so life involves compromises, still having fun

Thanks for your input. I have read about the process of making the drummer and I have an extra can at the ready. However I have not seen a dyno print out of the drummer's output next to stock...Do you have one?

The XB12 only revs to 6800rpm!

Torqer with the torque of the 12, I doubt the bottom end loss on any of the pipes that have it will effect your wheelies at all. The Jardine has a very nice note. As does the Drummer. Since your in the sales department for Stone Mountain HD I am sure you can get what you want without any difficulties.

You`ll loose alittle lowend with the D&D, but it has a huge midrange hit.

I tried to read the dyno numbers of the stock muffler vs the drummer but the picture was sooo bad that I couldn't be sure what I was looking at. The stock dyno runs from the archives look too good for the valve "not helping" power production.

thanks ya'll... the drummer looks good on paper and everyone's input seems favorable. I do have one question... does the shortened pipe make it an ankle blaster at red lights?

Can't vouch for the Drummer itself (yet)
But I can vouch for Bubba. I've dealt with him before and he's a stand up guy. He does stand behind what he says (and that can be quite bit).
If I had the money I'd buy one now, without hesitation.

the exhaust angle of the drummer directs the hot exhaust further back then the stock can. no it wont blow at your ankle when stopped.

I know on my 9, the Drummer wakes up the mid range quite nicely, but I don't have that exhaust valve thingamabob. It really opened up the torque to a wider range and works great, and hopefully better when I get the ecm and filter this weekend.

And no 3rd degree burns on the left ankle either.

loud is important... but not as important as performance. The drummer seems to be leading across the board for "no loss at the bottom". I see that it does not produce the max power over all.
