The FOX article on this indicates that dems in that state do support the idea of making it specifically illegal, but they don't want to vote for a Republican bill. They plan to defeat this measure, and reintroduce it next year as their own. Pretty typical for politicians in general, and dems specifically. Only politics and optics matter. It's becoming really obvious that the "anti-sharia" side is the conservative media. Just look at the links above. Breitbart, American Thinker, National Review. Back in the Bush years, the Democrat Party Media accused the Republicans of being the God-lovers Party, who were going to impose their primitive, medieval Religion on us nice Liberal Americans. ( What a Difference time makes ) And I have to say, it was an effective way to attack their enemies, since there is a kernel of truth to it. ( Leftists Lie automatically, but even they do better if there is one tiny real thing in their lies ) Sex hangups, hypocrisy, ( "family values politicians" having gay sex in the congressional cloakrooms and spas )etc. The above seems off topic, since what does sex have to do with the religious issues? ( seriously? have you not been paying attention? ) So today, we have a media that suppresses news of rape, sexual mutilation, slavery, all in the name of imposing their ally's primitive, pre-medieval Religion on us nice Liberal Americans. ( why does that sound so familiar? ) On the face of it, it's insanity. Dig deeper though, and it's simply raw hatred for the American Way, and the burning desire to impose a leftist dictatorship, by any means necessary. Please understand, they were SOOOOOO close. Obama set it all up, gutted the military leadership, cut funding to the military, imposed religious cults on the Energy sector, loaded private enterprise with crushing regulation, made constant 1984 surveillance a real, permanent part of our lives, and changed us from a Representative Republic with a Congress and checks and balances, into a one man rule by Diktat social media mob. Hillary was supposed to finish off the process and when Chelsea took over in the Last Election, the Soviet States transition would be complete. So close... so close.... So like the Soviets sponsored the jihad in the middle east to wreck western civilization with energy cost fueled war, American Leftist support gang rape and slavery to do the same here. After the fall of the Soviet Empire, Russia got a rude surprise when Chechnya and the 'Stans turned on them sooner than they expected. The Soviets always knew that once the West was trashed, they'd have to mass murder Islamic lands. ( their Islamic partners just beat them to it... since they were also just using the Soviets to the same end ) Here in America, the Left now is utterly unhinged since the Islamics imported to ruin the country are, by preference, attacking them. Not with the cynical, we were all lying to each other anyway attitudes of the Soviet/Jihadi hate fest. But because if you are from a sexually uptight primitive culture, the most offensive things are the perversions, as they see it, of the left, themselves. Gay night clubs. Sexually liberated women. Women in power.... I wonder what the the final trigger that will change the leftist hate aim to Islam ( the real enemy of Liberalism )? A famous gay star murdered in horrific ways? The Morning Talk News show being bombed as they look at the waving crowd outside the studio through the razor sharp glass hypersonic shards of the last window on tv? It's going to be interesting. Linda Sarsour went before a Muslim Brotherhood-linked confab this month and called for a jihad against President Trump. Understandably, that caused blowback across the country — its intended purpose. The call to jihad and the ensuing controversy was by design. First, as a call to action to the Muslim ummah; and, secondly, to smear, defame and libel anyone opposed to this holy war as “fascists and white supremacists and Islamophobes.” Her subsequent dissembling (in the pages of the Washington Post, no less) — is that she didn’t mean this jihad but that jihad (i.e. inner struggle, and in this case, speaking truth to power) — a popular Islamist deception. Sarsour knows exactly what jihad means, and so do the people she supports. Sarsour wrote (emphasis added, original link): Most disturbing about this recent defamation campaign is how it is focused on demonizing the legitimate yet widely misunderstood Islamic term I used, “jihad,” which to majority of Muslims and according to religious scholars means “struggle” or “to strive for.” This term has been hijacked by Muslim extremists and right-wing extremists alike, leaving ordinary Muslims to defend our faith and in some cases silenced. Sarsour spreads the taqiyya (permissible lying) on thick. She asserts that the term jihad “has been hijacked by Muslim extremists and right-wing extremists alike.” In other words, the victims of jihadist terror have hijacked the term jihad. While jihadis are blowing up our children, airports, buildings, airplanes, concerts, malls, marches, markets, etc., screaming “Allahu akbar!,” we, the victims, have the audacity to call the thing by its rightful name. There are no passages in the Quran that speak to a spiritual jihad. But there are hundreds calling for holy war. Still, Islamic supremacists such as Sarsour know they can count on the media elites to do their heavy lifting. That the Washington Post would allow Sarsour to deceive, dissemble and disarm the American people against what is the gravest threat to our freedom clearly demonstrates why we are in the terrible state we find ourselves in. No, I don't think you are racist now unless you discuss the culture, or religion, of Islamics, that has nothing whatsoever to do with DNA. OK...I'm confused. Doesn't this say that either sex can marry a non-Muslim as long as that person converts? The "while" sets it up as a disparity, but then it goes on to say both sexes are treated the same. "While sharia law allows Muslims to marry non-Muslim women who convert to Islam, the law forbids a Muslim woman from marrying a non-Muslim man unless he converts to Islam." | ||
