I haven't had a single bite on selling this X1 for $2500, so it looks like I'll be parting it out. The bike is currently complete and running. I have receipts from the previous owner for a new crankshaft and pistons. He didn't have much other detail on the rebuild though. Highlights : PM wheels, Pro Series race header and muffler The bike has 22k miles on it so the pieces aren't perfect, but everything is pretty clean and nice. I'd rather it stay together too but even 2500 is less than the parts are worth. It needs a little tlc but overall is clean. Dave let me know if you have someone interested. I'd be willing to drive to the Madison area to help deliver it | ||

The header and muffler are Buell Pro Series Race parts. I looked them over last night. The muffler has a few dents in it and someone has done some welding on the mount on the header. Both pretty common issues I think. Make me a fair offer and it's yours. jeff | ||

I haven't put it on Ebay. They take about 13%. It is listed on my local facebook marketplace, local craigslist and the badweb facebook page. I have gotten 0 offers or interest. I even offered to deliver it within 100 miles. Last summer I had a beautiful black 98 S3 for sale that I thought would be worth over 3000. I barely got it sold for 2500 after having it for sale for months. That bike was way too nice to part out. This bike isn't as nice. It looks pretty good in the pics, but everything needs a little love. I could put $700 into it fixing the tail section, headlight, shock, new rear tire, paint the chin fairing, etc. But I would still have a hard time getting 2500 out of it. I love tube frame Buells. I've owned 5, including a s1 for 18 years. The problem is, they seem to be really hard to sell and not worth as much as they should be. I wish someone would buy this, but no one has stepped up. Update: items that are sold: exhaust, Force intake, wheels with rotors, frame, shifter lever and brake lever, ECM and tank cover. Still have the engine, forks, seat, swing arm, handle bars with controls, engine mounts, oil tank, front fender. | ||
