Did some searching tripped over this post

http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/388582.html?1219363351

My SX has the same plug behind the headlight any ideas why it would not have power going to it?

Thanks

The outlet is only hot when your battery voltage is high enough, and the key/kill switches are both set to on. If your engine is running, it should work. Check your fuses too.

Kill switch was the problem, thanks Froggy if it weren't for that hang up it was a very easy install.

For anyone interested I ordered the pins and boots from ballenger motorsports (order a couple extra just in case) and ordered this off amazon.

Pretty clean install I will try to toss up a picture later

Thanks for the info on this. I've been looking for a good concealed way to get a charge to my phone in my tail pack.

I think this is my solution, since it outputs enough amperage for a Nexus 6P.

That should work great for a tail pack. I went with the bar mount so I could put my phone in the transparent map pocket on my Wolfman Blackhawk tank bag.

Should be racking up some decent mileage next week so I will see how this all holds together.
