Great job! How do you like the mirrors? I'd like to do a similar setup on my S3T |

Loose1/Matt: If you are using the same backing plate (ham can to carb), check it and make sure that the lower left corner of the bracket isn't touching the frame. That is what happened on two of mine (they both broke) before I got wise to it and used the dremel to cut excess off. Second one stranded me in PA for 5 days last summer! |

Thanks for all the complements. It's been a long and some what expensive project. The front faring and windshield did come from Dan (nrhs). The mirrors I can't really comment on yet because I haven't ridden it yet. I have yet to ride this bike since I bought it in Sept. I'm hoping the driving light work well. I start work at 6 AM, so most of the summer I'm driving in the dark in the morning. I'll check the backing plate on the air cleaner. The plan is to bring it back home to East Troy in June. The Super Blastard is giving me trouble this year so I'm not sure what other bike I'll be bringing. Thanks, Matt |

That's looking really nice! I really like the combo of the dark gray with the blue wheels. The mirror and driving lights combo looks really good. The mirrors are a good fit for the bike, and the driving lights blend in as if they were just the original styled turn signals. Usually people mount them on the bike and it makes the front end look a little cluttered but I think you figured that one out by mounting them in place of the turn signals. |

I've had to do more work on the S2T. The case lip that holds the trans. output bearing from moving into the the trans. was broke off. So I had to make a new lip and weld it in. I found a new works shock for cheep, and it works fantastic. Then after about 100 miles both mirrors broke off at the base. I was able to take them apart to get the stems off the mirror body's. I'm going to make new stems out of aluminum. I really like the bike. It's a little bigger than what I'm used to, but it fits me well and handles great. It has a few small bugs to work out yet, but that will be resolved with time and miles. I'd like a different seat or reshape the stocker. It pushes me too far forward and my knee is pushed into the air cleaner. It needs to be flatter. Matt |

Matt, When I got my S2T last year (http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/476 23/797138.html?1485895002) that was exactly how I felt about the OEM seat - so I bought a Corbin from another forum member. The improvement over the stock seat is amazing - they should have come that way |

Mathew you've done an outstanding job o your S2T ! The side plates where powder-coated at factory but if you use Aircraft striper on them you will find a polished surface under that paint. |

I've got just under 1000 mile on it now and I've have to fix a few things. The first is the mirrors broke off at the base of the stems at 100 miles. So I make new ones out of 7/8 7075 alu, and they work great. I need to rejet the pilot. It's too lean. It's stock jetting, but the xb heads must be leaning it out a little. Two of the four P clamps for the bags broke. If the replacements don't last I'll have to make a better one.
