The gearing in my X1 feels way too high. I see about 30mph indicated in first at around 3k rpm. Also I have to downshift to pass on the freeway below 80 I don't do allot of freeway riding. It looks like my only option to lower the gearing is a 26 tooth front sprocket. Is there a lower primary gear available? |

So you have a 27/61 setup? |

That was a good question as it turns out. Thats what I had assumed but apparently some previous owner swapped to a 29T front pulley. So I have 29/61 |

You can shorten the gears using an XB 9 primary front sprocket, you will also need the chain. |

Or go back to the US spec front pulley. |

I'd be happy to relieve you of that 29T pulley. Might even be able to provide you with a 27T in exchange. For the kind of riding I usually do, the taller gearing of the 29T is more to my liking. (Message edited by Lornce on May 07, 2017) |

I would actually like slightly lower gearing than stock at least in 1-4. I am thinking I will either get a 26t front sprocket or get this: http://www.twistgear.net/page%20html/sportgear.htm l with a 27t or 28t front sprocket. |

I have a spare 29 spare front sprocket and a spare 55rear sprocket, I wouldent mind getting a 27 front sprocket, I'm currently using a 28 front sprocket, the light weight ones |

12mpghwy I would take lornce up on his trade. I have a 26 tooth on mine, not much difference from 27. Pontlee77 if you need a 27 let me know? |
