So, this winter I installed a Uni filter on my 2007 xb12r, it already had a Jardine rt1 on it and I figured a remap was in order.got myself a buelltooth device. Long story short, this spring I tried it, and I ran into trouble. I get lean out bop back thru the intake across the rpms, even when I re-installed my stock map, and when I try the tps reset my tpd #s (the degrees you open the plate using the idle adjustment screw) are all over the place. Sometimes it won't come off zero and once it jumped to 9. I'm not getting any codes, but I suspect my tps is giving up the ghost. Anybody got any ideas? The good people at buelltooth have been very helpful by the way. |

So I took the top off it yesterday, to check if the idle adjustment hardware might be hinky. Nope. |

Not this time, I did one after every every flash (two different maps, then back to stock), then 3 times more after. The last few times is when I noticed the issue with the tpd#,rechecking them. |

Me. It was operator error, plain and simple. The instructions saying to turn the throttle to 5/6% then adjust the idle from there might have been more helpful if they mentioned the live data feed and the tpd info. Also, when they say to turn the idle out until the plate is stuck in the bore, they mean STUCK in the bore, not just till you believe it's closed, that there was my mistake. So yeah.....it was me. |
