Hey guys, I'm looking to see if there's any Denver locals who wouldn't maybe taking a look at my dumb oil leak whenever possible. Please let me know. Otherwise I'm gonna wind up getting a manual and tearing it apart once I feel like dumping all the oil, which, after rebuilding the rear end, I am not exactly looking forward to. | ||

Where exactly is the oil leaking from? Ever changed the oil lines to and from the pump? You do need a copy of the manual. | ||

Yeah it could just be the lines, its dripping off the bottom of the transmission case, and off a little assembly on the right side that looks to be a oil pump? Its held on by 4 allen screws and has lines running to and from. The hoses that run up past the starter/battery are wet underneath so thats a good indicator. Regular auto-store oil line works fine. You can use old-style worm screw clamps as long as you check them for hose damage from time to time. The feed and return hoses rub against one another above the shock and muffler. | ||

Another area to check is the push rod tube seals to see if that is the source of the leak. There is an o ring on the top and a rubber cup seal on the bottom. |
