Anyone still come to this section??? So I got a spare 1125 that doesnt have a title, I think its a great candidate for a race bike/project. Going to look into different things, looking for help a) put wheelie bars on it, lighten it up, go. b) lower it and a long-ass swingarm c) full chassis built for racing pretty much it goes $ $$$ $$$$ SInce I have little $, Im sort of leaning that way. Anyone done bars on a 1125 yet? possible to use the subframe as a mounting point? Thinking where the passenger pegs are supposed to mount would be a good spot Channing Kraemer over on fb suggested using axle too. Any downside to this? What about struts? Could I use a strut made for an XB on this? |

I still come when ever someone posts. I had thought about the same thing you are thinking about several years ago. I did not do it because I don't have the money necessary. My idea was to use a tube frame and build adapters to install the 1125 motor. I still think it would work but I think there would be no savings over having someone build a proper bar bike chassis. Good luck I truly hope someone does it. I think running in the eights would be very attainable. |

a full chassis build is out of my budget at the moment, it'd be a year or so down the line (chassis only would be 2500-3k is what I've been quoted) 8s would be hard, would need probably 200hp or so, so finding an additional 60hp is going to be pricey! |

hey Garrett... I still check in here once in a while... not many of us Drag Racers left..just finished our season here.. had another great year.. solid in the eights on the P/S now.. 8.570 this year personal best..there's still more in it.. looking at EFI for next year.. I finished building the tuber drag bike but haven't got a chance to race it yet.. extended 12" no bar in a S3 chassis with S1 body..no nitrous on it yet but just have to find the time to install..long winter ahead now with hopefully lots of build time...try again next year... not sure why we beat ourselves to death with V-twins but I just think the 4 cylinders are too easy.. I'd like to try an 1125 motor but thats way down the list.. cheers Tim |

Tim, thanks for posting. Ive put my project bike on hold as I try to figure out what the heck Im going to do with it and how I'll pay for it ha I do want to do a 1125-powered drag bike, but I also think itd be nice to have cruiser. I just dont know and as the temps start to drop, riding/racing isnt really high on my list. Please keep me posted on anything you end up doing with racing! |

For those on facebook, Brandon White just built a no-bar 1125 and took it to his first race this past weekend. Mid 9s. It'll get faster as he tweaks further |

It's been over four years - anyone racing an 1125? The bike I mentioned in the initial post still sits in my garage, collecting dust and sawdust. Fixing to start the MBA program at Wake Forest this year, so no building a 1125R bike anytime soon ha |
