Hello, I have a 2009 XB12SCG.
I'm planning to upgrade my cams and was interested in the RED SHIFT 585v2.
The guys over at EBR suggested I throw in some XB9 pistons so I purchased a set of Wiseco forged pistons (12:1 compression)
I would like to know if the RED SHIFT 585v2 cams are a direct bolt-on upgrade or if there are some fitment requirements for installing the cams. 2009 Buell XB12SCG Engine: Thunderstorm 1203 |

Did you end up performing this upgrade? What are the results? |

Greetings Mesozoic, I did not upgrade my bike with the cams, nor the other parts I purchased. I do remember that when I bought these parts the seller told me that the inside of the case would have to be ground out so that the cam lobes would clear. Although I was younger when I bought these parts, I'm 72 years old now and wonder how fast do I really need to go? That got me thinking, maybe I do need to go a little faster now that I'm in the "home stretch". NHTuber Alan |

LOL, home stretch need for speed! I was curious as to how the sound of the engine at idle may have changed and where the powerband would shift to based on the cam change. |
