Anyone know the best way to get Gunmetal Grey bodywork (airbox cover, front fairing, tailsection, etc) ordered for an SX? Are their color-specific part numbers listed anywhere? Best I could find is from the 2014-15 chassis parts PDF: Airbox - M1222.XXXXXX Front Fairing - M0622.XXXXXX Tailsection - M1664.XXXXXX What I need are the color codes (XXXXXX). |

Don't use chassis parts PDF. Click on parts pricing. I don't see a gunmetal front fairing for SX. MEP is the color code to look for. 819 M1664.2B9MEP Rev A KIT, SX TAILSECTION, GUNMETAL GRAY W/ RWB GRAPHICS M1222.2B7MEP Rev A KIT, SX INTAKE COVER, GUNMETAL GRAY W/ BLACK GRAPHICS |

You could e-mail the factory and ask: parts@ebr.com According to Dan Hurda's post on FB earlier today, they're backed up with parts orders right now, so it may be a few days before you hear back. |

Got a response. "As for the near future we are allocating all in stock bodywork for production and warranty. You can check with us going forward as to availability." Not surprised....but disappointed they won't take my money. Glad to hear they are setting parts aside for "production and warranty". That would indicate there is "production" to supply for though... Still remain mostly confused on the situation. Without knowing what they should expect for warranty claims, doesn't sound like they will be producing parts perhaps? Relying only on what they have in stock currently? Probably waiting until inventory hits a trigger number before producing more. I would guess I'm out of luck until the warranty period on all bikes produced has expired at the very earliest. The worst case scenario is I wait until the window of factory-supplied parts is exhausted. Who knows at this point. I just want to give them money, but it is proving difficult. Do I really have to damage my existing plastics to get on the available parts radar? My request is not urgent, but it still nets them a profit I would think. |

Why not just paint the plastics you currently have. Wouldn't it be far cheaper? You can buy the sticker kit for $75 |

That's a possibility, just not the direction want to go. I still want to have my black plastics along with gunmetal grey. I'm looking for official EBR parts. Thanks for the suggestion. If there was a way I could get my hands on some discounted bodywork, I may consider having them painted. |

My guess is that they are not willing to make parts purchases. They would be volume purchases and under the existing circumstances, LAP is unwilling to make the investment. I suspect other parts are just as scarce as well for the same reason. |
